diference between melee 2 bats
Can anybody tell me the difference between the melee 2 end loaded bat and the melee 2 12 inch end loaded bat?

NOTHING! Only differences is the barrel length...13" & 12" respectively

The shorter barrel changes the swing weight making the bat feel slightly more end loaded. The new Reloaded has a 3/4 oz end load and 13" barrel which should swing about the same but with the larger barrel.

I agree with callavett.
All things being equal; reducing barrel length will effectively increase the amount of end-load.

Technically that would imply an increase in the moment of inertia of the bat while sacrificing a bit of sweet spot without changing the overall weight of the bat.
But the devil is always in the details. Comparing the weight and balance point of the two bats is the only way to know for sure.

Guys,

That is correct - the Melee 12" Legends of the Game bat does swing heavier than the Melee 2 Endload. With Adidas maintaining there performance based model in bats & using our Golf Partner "Taylormade" influences weve developed a quicker, high performance line of softball bats. Melee 12" (with the shorter barrel) gives us more of a faster head swing like a golf club to power the ball further than the other Softball bats.

Melee 12" will give you more power & the Melee 2 will give you power and more consistent swings to hit to all fields.

The New Melee Reloaded is made for the Melee 2 Endload guys that like more end weight. This will be coming out end of the month, and Ill give you the details when we have them here. The testing with our test groups have been very high, and is our new 2018 Adidas Sr Melee Model.

Well also continue with the Melee 2 Endload & Balance bats with the Melee 12" for 2018 also.

Hope that helps answer your questions.

Thanks,

Thanks Lee
I appreciate the response.
No doubt, all of the Melee bats have proven to be great performers.

However, some of your reply regarding the effect of different endloads is a bit confusing.

If available, actual measurements of the balance point for a Melee 12 and 13 of the same weight would help folks make a bit more objective comparison until they are able to swing one in real life

Lee, I was a huge fan of the green 13, went to the same weight in the 12 inch and wont even consider using another bat. Before the green 13 I was never comfortable with endloads but that bat changed me for life. I was a bit concerned about the smaller barrel on the 12 inch but that was not an issue at all. It has been an outstanding bat for me and I have yet to put it down. You have a loyal user of the 12 here. Thanks for some great product.

I have had the honor to use the new Melee Reload 27.5 oz bat and I am totally amazed. It does swing a little different from my 12” Melee 27oz that was my bat of choice. The Reload has a huge sweet spot and I think it will be by far the #1 bat for 2018.I give it 5 stars!!
