Bat Shelf-- Who Has One?
I am considering pulling the trigger on a bat shelf mod that will hopefully turn my large sagging/worthless middle compartment Easton 5 tool back pack into something useful. I have seen the DeMarini shelfing system and it's quite impressive. Are there others out there that have the custom shelves in their bags and have some feedback before I formally spend the money?

I have one in my demarini bag.
I love it
It does make the bag a little heavier, but to me it is well worth it.

Try grit/ball tower. Bag stands up and does not sag, due to poles that you insert in to the bag. Is a shelf system. Have had a lot of compliments on the bag!

Because my bag sags a bit, I just ordered one for my DeMarini Special Ops. $65 plus $15 delivery. I could've purchased PVC tubing, elbow joints, screws, and plexiglass/wood for the shelves and built it myself for about $45, but I chose to have it done right, LoL. Plus I get the top shelf engraved with my name, number, and the SSUSA logo (my choice).

Back in March 14, I bought this bag since it fits on my Gold Wing back seat and easily tied down. I put any bats I carry between the bag and back seat so my body keeps the wind off the bats if they were out to the sides. Built in pockets, use of the handle or shoulder straps. Where the straps are, I fold my bat warmer in half and store it there. Besides the three pockets there's another storage area on the top of the bag with a zipper. Then there's a side storage area on each side that's zippered.

gott2play.This is not noted nor advertised but, what you will receive from Batshelf is parts and pieces to make the shelf. You will have to assemble the pieces. You will not receive a completed unit. Also I was told that parts don't require gluing together but, if you are flying to tourneys it is best to use PVC adnesive and glue the thing together.Once assembled it is a great shelf.

there are a few out there but I recommend going to batshelf.com. you can customize it any way you want. the cuts are machined and etching on shelves.
You can make it yourself which i have done before but after all said and done buying the second one was easier and much better fit.

I have a bat shelf for my Demarini Special Ops bag and I love it. Great quality, and my bag stands on it’s own. Plus, I have usable compartments. It also came completely assembled. All I had to do was slide it in my bag. Batself’s customer service is also amazing.

titanhd,

Received my batshelf the other day for my Demarini Special Ops bag and it came fully assembled. Perhaps a change in their policy.

gott2play-Thanks for the info.I did speak to them when I received mine unassembled. Perhaps they have changed.I received pieces and parts. I measured and counted each one and now have the "recipe" to duplicate the finished unit.I Have already sold a few units locally and will probably sell more.

Here are the materials and sizes provided on a different site. I have not made one but plan to. The shelf size will need to be trimmed down.

2- 10ft sticks of 1/2in pvc (1 stick if you are not doing a double shelf)
4- 1/2in T fittings (only used if you do a double shelf)
8- 1/2in 3 way 90* elbow
1- 9.5in x 11in wood/plexi glass (2 more if doing double shelf) Wood needs to be cut not the exact measurement on the wood.
You will have to notch out 4 corners on 2 of the pieces of wood
Handful of drywall screws
Hole saw whatever size your favorite beverage fits in
I put 2 pieces of wood on the top and underneath of the top shelf so the solo cup sits on the underneath piece of wood.

Measurements of pvc pipe (these are the actual sizes you need to cut the pvc)
4 @ 9in for height (4 more @ 12.25 for double shelf)
4 @ 4.75in for depth (6 if you are doing double shelf)
4 @ 8.25in for width (4 if you are doing double shelf)

I left out the part that this is for the Black Ops bag. For the Special Ops bag cut the upper section pipes 2" longer since the bag is slightly taller.
