Pain management
As another year is passing us by I wanted to know if the forum could share some thoughts and tips about pain management.
My defense and running (I'm a life long outfielder) has suffered due to arthritic feet and a knee replacement that is in my future.
I recently had a tooth pulled and my dentist said a combo of two Tylenol and two Advil had the same affect as codeine. It worked better for my pain than the Aleve I would take before games.
I definitely am interested to get feedback from the forum on what has worked for them (outside of prescription meds) to help us all stay in the game.

Mikelmart, I have arthritis also. The big thing is a good orthopedic surgeon,to guide you. A few tips I use recommend by my doctor. Is take four 200 ibuprofen if you have inflammation.. You can also purchase asper cream with lidocaine and apply to your knees and effected joints. Plus go to the orthopedic department of your local hospital and get fitted for orthopedic inserts. They run about $30 dollars and are well worth it and better than what you can buy at the store. You might also want to look into uflexxa shots for your knees,if you haven’t already. Hope this helps.

Cannabinoid pain relief could make the difference...

Cannabinoid pain relief may be the answer to the opioid epidemic, and since cannabis has never killed anyone, it will provide a safer alternative to opioids. Other studies report that opioid use declined in US states with medical cannabis programs, so cannabis may well be the painkiller of the future.
