Today's Big Vote
Sometime today we should hear about the rules committee's big decision on the 1/1 or 0/0 count. A lot has been posted and surveys have been conducted.
Good luck to those opposed and for this change. I have no facts but my gut seems to tell me that this decision was already made and now we are going through a process of putting lipstick on the pig.

NYGNYY ... May be time for a "gut check" ... You'd be very surprised at the differences of opinion on the Rules Committee regarding 0-0 vs. 1-1, and if yes on 1-1, in what flavor ... I expect lengthy and spirited debate followed by close voting ... The Chairwoman votes only to break ties, and it happened in Auburn during the convention for this topic as it affected the 40-Masters division ... Stay tuned!

NYGNYY ... I'll "see" your $5 and a Pork Sandwich and "raise" you $5 and a Steak Sandwich (since you're buying!) ... I nailed it earlier on how the Rules Committee discussions/votes would play out ... The Committee Chair cast the deciding (tie-breaking) "7-6" vote in both cases during today's session, and the Minority of Six was NOT comprised of the same six Committee Members each time ... Discussion/debate was exactly as I predicted: lengthy and spirited! ... Official Minutes, including the full "1-1 Count" survey data detail report (Exhibit "A"), are posted ...

Dave thanks for keeping this lively. I for one was opposed to the 1/1 count with or without a foul. However I will play by the rules. Just for kicks--look up the book called Five Dollars and a Pork Chop Sandwich and get the metaphor which was intend above. Appreciate the banter and when we meet someday soon....steak sandwich is on me

That's hilarious, NYGNYY and B.J. ... Thanks for the education on the concept ... However, a "rules auction" most likely isn't where we're headed, though! ... It's more fun to just approach Rules considerations as paupers ...
