Thanks Rickey! ... That's encouraging and (presumably) good/great news! ... Tell that ornery old coot I want to see him walking and hollering this year at The Brickyard Invitational! ...
That’s great news! I have been praying for Butch on a daily basis. I have played with Butch for several years on different teams and you won’t find a better person or teammate. Hopefully he continues to progress. I hope I get to see him on the field again in the near future.

Thanks

Steve, I keep in contact with Jill and have a few more details. You can always call or text me at 317-372-1234. He is doing well considering this is a tough surgery. Dave, I will see to it that Jill gets him there. Of course he might have to use Coachie's old parking place outside the office. Neck10, could you please close the gate for me?
Neck10, now I can't Rickey, don't lose that number out of my head. Curses. Jill and I talked again today. She and Butch really helped me when I lost Coachie, but it is hard to understand that it is true love when a wife becomes a caregiver when her husband has health issues. I think that it is even more difficult when they were strong active men when they were younger. I know of women who have left their husbands in this situation. Jill and I both take our vows very strongly and seriously. She is a good wife, and Butch is very lucky to have her. I intend to be there for them like they were for me.

Please close the gate, my dear friend from up above, a state above.
Good thoughts, wishes, and prayers for Butch and for his family.

All your friends at Sweet Construction Softball
My memory is pretty bad now a days but I think I may have played with Butch on Glass back in 88 or 89. Is this the same Butch? Regardless prayers going out.
Keighley, this is the same Butch that you played with Glass.
steve jill told me they moved him to transplant floor from icu & has his cell phone!!!!!!!!!!!!
After 50 years, Butch still finds a way to bring a smile to my face. Thoughts, prayers and well wishes my friend. Mel
neck10, I had a nice talk with Butch last night. I was very happy that he sounded as well as he did. His goal is to play softball. I told him just to concentrate on that first 70 feet. I know that Coachie and Meek are watching over him. Butch's wife is awesome as well. It touches me how much she has done for him. Gentlemen, that is true love.
