Need to revamp 70 team ratings
This has bothered me for a few years, having played 70 Major Plus and 70 Major it is obvious that because of a set of "not thought out" guidelines, the 70 year old players have limited options and team to play. In 70's, at Major Plus, SSUSA allows us 9 home runs a game. If they would check the tournament stats for this age group, over the years, they would see more of these teams were lucky to hit 3 or 4 home runs in a tournament much less 9 in a game. Also, for Major Plus, it limits the teams they will see in a tournament due to the lack of true Major Plus teams. It also automatically labels everyone on that team as a Major Plus player, even if they may not be. Also, with the actual lack of home runs hit in Major Plus, giving a Major team 5 runs makes it difficult to combat. It seems to me, we could go to the "one up" home run rule and thus combine the Major Plus a with Major into one division. This would allow facing a variety of more teams in a tournament and would allow for players who were not actually Major Plus, to be rated Major and make it easier to find a team to play with if they left their current team. My experience, in the past, where I was Major Plus, the team folded, no other Major Plus options arose and I had to sit out a year, then play 65 AAA so I could get re-rated so I could find a 70 Major team. At this age, most of us can't afford to be sitting out a year. Again, this is just my observation, I don't expect it will change.

I agree. Played on a Major Plus team from Colorado in 2015. Moved to Florida that same year. Unable to find a Major Plus team or Major to play on in this state in 2016. Played in one SPA tournament at the Major level in 2016. Finally found a Major team for 2 tournaments in 2017. SSUSA was reluctant to rerate to Major for this season because I didn't play a SSUSA tournament in 2016. This is an especially bad situation here east. Not many Major or Major Plus teams as compared to west of the Mississippi. We played in Reno this year and there were 10 Major teams in Major. We had 4 at he Winter Nationals in FT. Meyers. On a positive closing, the home office finally gave me credit for the SPA tournament played in 2016 and rerated me to Major for this year. Been a "long train runnin".
