IMO.....Event was well run. Bottled water in dugouts a nice touch. Wind on Saturday was nasty. Some of the umpires were inept. The competition in the 60's upper division was great.

ONE(1) Men's Crapper to serve 4 fields of teams, fans and others!

Too cheap to rent Port-A-Potties.

We were scheduled 0830 games on 1st and 2nd days and played very last games on the 3rd day.

Well run?

I don't think so!

Yes Dbax, not all of the umpires were "amazing". Several fields are still using welcome type mats for home plate and they're about 3" short in length. Mon. to Wed. had high winds and some games only had strikes called which was helpful. Those using fields Tri 2&3 were told a cart would take anyone down to the regular bathrooms by the pickle ball courts. The cart was not always on site. But, there were many very close games in all age groups.

This whole tourney can be played in 2 days!

This is SENIOR SOFTBALL!

It don't take a Rocket Scientist to figure out that Seniors don't have the same Bowel and Bladder Control as they did in their younger days. Evidently, they don't know this in Bullhead!

I noticed men, waiting 3 deep to use the urinals and about 4 or 5 guys in line waiting to use that one (1) toilet. They are lucky that toilet didn't back up!

Games get delayed because of this. That's how it effects a tournament.

Also, probably because of the wind or maybe just poor umpires, "Strikes" being called on pitches that were flat.

Whoa there, NUTZ ... Doesn't sound like much fun for you at this one ... Sometimes as seniors, a lot DEPENDS on whether or not you PASSED a GAS station along the way to the park ...

OK....Good Reply Post

The thing that bugs me the most was all that down time between games. I don't gamble and have been to so many of these tourneys in the past it just gets boring. I have seen all the places for tourists/visitors to see for a few hundred miles around Laughlin/Bullhead area. It got so boring that my wife and I went to the Bullhead Walmart and Buffalo Wild Wings just for something to do. It was too windy to do anything outside. No doubt all that down time is so the local business can make MONEY.

Guys,

I think you have it wrong about this tournament. We had a great time and the facilities were excellent. The schedule really worked in our favor due to the early morning back to back games on Friday and 1 game break between games on Saturday am. It gave us time to have a BBQ at the park and then meet up again afterward for dinner or just hang out. This had a spring training kind of atmosphere without the stress of a Major tournament.

The staff was all city employees that really took the time to make it an enjoyable experience. Bottled water in dugout was a good touch.

On Sunday, they modified the schedule to have the two Major+ teams play a 9 inning no time limit game and boy was it fun. It felt like the old days. We were allowed to agree on home run rules, letting the batter move the pitcher over to avoid looking into the sun and they added a line 6 feet behind the rubber so that Heller couldn't pitch from 2nd base.

BTW Benji...they gave us all participation T-shirts!!!

We have this on our schedule every year and we would not miss it.

Dang Mr Nutz, with all the time between the games you think you would have time and place to take a dump.. like Rick said.. it was well run and they had kids behind the fences getting HR balls back in quickly! thought it was well ran.. PS Thanks for the BBQ Rick... Great job! Much appreciated!
