| March 27, 2018 cyborg45 Men's 75 194 posts | Need advice Finally broke my old Miken red endload this weekend. Looking for a replacement. I also have 2 Miken Big Cats which I use more often. Wanting something not as endloaded as the Cats. Narrowed my search to the Worth Wicked and the Adidas Reload. Who has hit these bats and your recommendations please. |
| March 27, 2018 OZ40 549 posts | Just curious as to why you'd switch from Miken...seems you really liked the Red Miken. The Big Cats have enormous end loads. I'd give some thought to selling the cats but sticking with Miken, like maybe the new Senior Model Freak. Good Luck. |

I hear good things about the Worth as far as consistency is concerned, according to Dave Velasquez. Haven't seen much about the reloaded at this point. I appreciate your advice and it certainly will be taken into consideration. |
| March 28, 2018 fennellwg Men's 60 97 posts | Dave is a big fan of spending a lot of time with your bat of choice and not switching from one to the other because of the ways it may disrupt your swing until you’ve had time to adjust. No doubt the red miken and big cats feel/swing much different for you. My suggestion is to pick one of the most popular flavors that has a weight and balance point similar to the bat you wish to use in the future. Dave has a pretty good list of “swing weights” for bats that he has recently reviewed. Those numbers can be easily converted to determine the balance point. ....something you can quickly measure for your own bats. IMO, Bill |
| March 28, 2018 mck71 Men's 60 344 posts | I was always a Miken guy but somehow wasn't a fan of the 2-piece so I switched (probably has to so with something between my ears?), have the Worth and 13" 2016 Melee (26 and 27 oz), both have the 1/2 oz end load and I hit them both with equal enthusiasm. The new Reload has 3/4oz end load and I tried it in Fla and wasn't convinced enough to buy one but 4 of my teammates did! LOL As Bill said check out Dave or call Alan Tanner, he has always given me good advice. Most of what you will hear has been stated, "swing what you are comfortable with". |

I was wondering however, if the newer bats would be a little hotter with the new technologies developed over the last several years. Mck, I usually get my bats from Alan, so I plan on his advice as I get a little closer. |

| March 29, 2018 infoblocked 10 posts | You might want to give the Miken Kendrick Maxload a try. They're .5 oz EL like the red Ultra II but same construction as the other Miken seniors. Personally, I am not a fan of the Wicked, felt very mid-loaded to me. It hits good but I never felt comfortable with it, but I like an endload. The Dudley's and Adidas in 12" barrels are very good bats, you just have to get used to the smaller barrel and they swing different because of that. If you try one of these don't give up on it after a dozen swings...they take a little getting used to. |
| March 29, 2018 cyborg45 Men's 75 194 posts | I bought a Dudley 2016 end load with the 12'barrel because the reviews were really good. If you hit it on the screws, it had great performance. I just never could get used to the short barrel and sold it 6 months later. I'm convinced after that trial that I need the longer barrel. The Big Cats I have are starting to feel a little heavy to me on some days. That's when I would pull out the red UII. I'll look at the Kendrick Maxload. Thanks for the input |
