Southwest Championship
Will you have the Field assignments/bracket out for the Southwest Championship soon?

It'll be a few days for Session #1 and at least a week for Session #2 before we publish with a reasonable degree of certainty ... The event entries (232) are up by 18 teams over the prior tournament-record 214 ... Additional field procurement is underway to accommodate that growth ... We don't worry too much about the Las Vegas field assignments ... Our experience has been over many years that the majority of players stay in the same hotel/casino that issued their frequent-player cards, and requests like this many times are driven more by curiosity than specific hotel/field location relationships ... Any of the host hotels on the Boulder Highway are very convenient to all playing facilities except Desert Breeze and Doc Romeo ... Desert Breeze is unavailable due to conversion to Little League configuration and Doc Romeo is a potential, but not certain, at this time ...

I was out at Desert Breeze this morning and they had portable outfield fencing for a Little League tournament. Dave, are you saying that the fence will be made permanent at some point, thereby precluding us from using it in the future?

NOPE ... All I'm relaying is the information that Little League has priority usage rights at Desert Breeze while the Southwest Championships is ongoing ... Same thing happens occasionally at Sunset Park #5-6 ...
