| May 18, 2018 OZ40 549 posts | Do you know the manufacturer of the ball you are using? I've not heard of a 230 compression ball before. That comp number even with a .47 or .50 core number would still be a dead ball. Do you play on open or fenced fields? Is the league men's, co-ed or church recreational? | May 18, 2018 jc11 Men's 50 15 posts | The best ASA bats hands down are Monsta. We've seen it over and over. I use the Monsta Torch, and it kills the 52Cor - 275 balls. Look at the video's on YouTube of "war by the shore," which is the Monsta Super WC team vs Smash it Sports. I would suggest doing your own research. I've personally hit Monsta bats since 2011, before they were as well known as they are now. Monsta Athletics.com. The COR and COMP your using is a little UN-normal compared to the majority of 52Cor - 275Comp balls used for most ASA play, however, it's not far off. Call Monsta and ask them, they are very friendly. Hope this helps. |
| May 18, 2018 Mcgarnicle 2 posts | We play in a recreational league in Canada. The ball is a Louisville 105L. I hate it. First inning our Z2000 is doing fine. After that the ball is so soft... We play on fenced fields (about 250 ft). |

| May 24, 2018 Tri18 352 posts | Guys, The new Miken FREAK20 was developed specifically to hit these 52/300 balls and does it incredibly well. Additionally, this year they added the 12” barrel Kyle Pearson model and also the Denny Crine 1 ounce endload bat. Miken has ASA, USSSA, and Senior bats all weighed out the same in balance points so your league bat swings the same as your tournament bat. These new ASA models are just fantastic all the way around and are now my top sellers. Keep an eye out as I am also working on some new products from the Worth side that are going to be fantastic additions to the Miken/Worth lineup for us senior guys....
