June 18, 2018 TimMcElroy 942 posts | REVISED SCHEDULE / FORMAT Schools and other public facilities in CT are operating on ˝ day schedules due to a high heat and humidity forecast. A pre-tournament manager meeting was held this morning, where it was agreed that all teams would play just 2 games today. All players will be off of the field by 1:00pm today. The 65 and 70 men’s divisions will return on Tuesday, playing a best 2 of 3 format in each bracket)so that no team plays more than 3 on that day. Thanks in advance for your understanding. |

June 19, 2018 TimMcElroy 942 posts | k man- Everything shows up on my screen. You probably need to refresh your page (on the top left of your screen, click on the icon that looks like a semi-circle with an arrow). While I've got the audience, Session 2 wrapped up today- 65 AAA Talaga Masonry outlasted 65 AA Syracuse Cyclones, taking the title in the "IF NECESSARY" game. 70 AAA was won by Vios. 2nd place, Socrates. Thanks to all 20 teams for participating this weekend. If you live in the Northeast or even the mid-Atlantic, you should consider this tournament next year. Good parks (including new OF fencing at Smith Field), good umpires, scorekeepers for every game, free t-shirts for every player and close proximity to Joe Garlic's locally famous bar & grill. The portions are "yoooge" and the taste is "wicked good" I kid you not- the "small" meatball sub is 14" long. |
