New Anniversary Freak
I hit with my new Jason Kendrick Freak for the first time yesterday. It was very hot and humid. Put about 50 swings on it with a variety of balls. Some 52 cor socks some GSL gold dots and some thunder advanced and two bullets. This bat did not like the 52's but neither do I so who cares. The GSL balls did not work well either. For the first 15-20 swings i was thinking i had made a big mistake getting this bat.The barrel felt extremely stiff for a senior bat and the sound is completely different from my dudlys addidas worth or even my freak platinum from last year.I had a hyper z three years ago and that is the sound this freak makes.Kinda metallic. Not the "crack" i like. Then i hit the first bomb!Wow!"I liked that",I said.I asked the pitcher what kind of ball. U-trip gold dot he said.Only one in the bag. Then we got to the thunder advanced.Boom!Boom!Boom!A couple of Bullets? See ya!No doubt with another 150+ swings this bat will be as hot as my other bats.I had no problem with the end load.Very controllable.Hit liners to center when i wanted.I heard last years model swung heavy.I did not feel that.

Masked man,
All of the first series of balls that you mentioned are either ASA or USSSA SPEC BALLS AND NOT SENIOR 44/375 balls which this bat was designed to hit. That being said, once it’s broken in those balls will react to it just fine but before break in you may notice a difference in performance. The metallic ring you hear is typical of the new generation of Miken senior bats. You will find the more the bat breaks in the less of that you will hear. The bat you are swinging is my personal bat of choice this year and it’s absolutely fantastic in every respect : Performance, durability, and sweet spot. The more you hit it the more you will love it. Best of luck to you,
Alan Tanner

Our 65+ day team got a Big Cat 28 oz for a team bat. (2018 model)
We only hit 52/300 and with 1000+ swings it is not broke in, however,
The ball comes off bat faster than with the Ultra II that is broke in.
You can really tell in batting practice because balls are moving much faster coming to the field.
