College Station just another screwed up tournament
SSUSA please do something to help Texas get a new director!!!!! Parker has now changed game times and did not even notify the teams. Then when you call him and ask if your game time has changed he says he just saw it. Isn’t he the director and the one that changes the game times. Everyone please call SSUSA and voice your opinion!!!!!! This is one screwed up tournament. Teams playing until 3am in the morning and then they have to be back out there at 8:30am.

Parker is giving SSUSA a very bad name and ruining yalls reputation!!!!

Hope your fields didn't smell like a cesspool like 2&3 at Pioneer Park in Prescott this past Fr. and Sat. Both fields had either cones or flags on the outfield marking extremely wet areas. Then there's the height of the grass and lack of new balls to use.

40+ was just as bad. Added a pool game to give us 4 then made it a single game Elimination. His reason was a team dropped out and a team left on Saturday, so let's just screw the tournament off and make Sunday a single game elimination. never have I seen something like this. Now I know why 40's never make here in SSUSA.

Also, how does a team still get there bid when they just walk away from the tournament. show up check in play a little and the leave. Should have their bid stripped

How can a director change game times and make no effort whatsoever to notify the teams that he has changed them. Then when you question him he has oh I just saw it. Isn't he the one that changed the game times!!!!! Lame excuse for being stupid.......

Our game times in 50Major changed more than once.

He has quite a reputation for this and it's justified.

Our Sunday game was scheduled for 8:30, when we got to the park it had been moved to 10:00 am. Happens in his tournaments all the time.

A new director or a better attitude from him about taking care of business would be great.

Just wondering how you play 3 seeding games on friday, two more seeding games for 3 teams, then play a single elimination tournament for the same 3 teams??????. Why not stick to the round robin for the same and only 3 teams instead of making a team play 7 games in 110 degress in stead of the original 5 game.

this was a poorly ran tournament in all age brackets. Been playing ball for a long time and never seen something bbn like this. I see why SSUSA is not played down here mitch. Nobody wants to fill with this. Making SSUSA look bad.

Wayne 37, I did not realize that you woke up in a bad mood this morning. It is kind of obvious who you are insulting and is really not too cool in a public forum. Personally I think that your post is ok except for calling him a name, twice.

You're correct Nancy ... I removed the Wayne 37 post as being inappropriate ... Maybe just a mild case of "fingertips diarrhea" that hit several topics this morning for him ...

Oh, Dave, don't get so defensive. I'm not "oblivious" to the fact you don't like me anyway.

It would nice if somebody would have cancelled a tournament in advance when every weather service in the nation called for continued widespread flooding throughout Central Texas the day before the tournament even starts.

Now you know why I don't come around here very often anymore. When the moderator is always taking pot shots at you, why would I?

When you have so many unhappy campers for a long period of time with the same complaint over and over and over again, is it too hard to vaguely comprehend there might actually be a serious problem that needs remedying? I, like everyone else, don't like spending 500-600 dollars on a weekend to come out in 100 degree or better heat to be constantly inconveinenced.

I understand there is price you have to pay, but downplaying it like it doesn't exist isn't what's best for business. Eventually, even the diehards will give in and stay home if that's what it takes.

Believe me, I've heard much more unsavory comments at the tournaments from people I don't even know. We deserve better and should have better! It couldn't get much worse.

Is that too much to ask? I think not!

Nope, Wayne, since I don't have the slightest idea who you may be, making any like/dislike opinion irrelevant! ... The next time we take action on anything appearing on the Message Board will be an association first in our history ... Results come as a follow-up to identifiable formal correspondence to our office, not an anonymous complaint/rant here ... Your post was removed because it was derogatory to a specific individual in violation of one of the (only) four posting rules we have ... This was simply a "troll control" deletion, nothing more, nothing less ...

Oh, so now you consider myself to be a troll who needs to be controlled along with a bad case of fingertip diarrhea? I do believe for the most part that you feel somewhat intimidated by myself. So is it my disagreeing with you over a previous issue is what ruffled your feathers?

Should I disregard your ungenerous remarks toward myself as nothing more than chicken soup for my soul? I'm referring to the ones such as, "Oh, now he changes it." Or perhaps, "Chirp, chirp." don't qualify as such?

- Inappropriate language
- Disparaging comments directed toward any individual
- Promotion for other senior softball organizations
- Advertising for commercial products, services or websites

I'm quite certain I do rub people the wrong way with brutal honesty sometimes. I do also realize that inconsistencies pop up from time to time and everything doesn't go according to Hoyle. However, when inconsistencies become consistant, that's when I speak up. I know the real reason why they don't have any senior tournaments in a fine complex like the one in Plano, TX. It is in a great part why they held tournaments in a Houston war zone and that glorified cow pasture outside of Austin.

And I do know that those inconsistencies have been addressed through proper channels. Doesn't seem to do any good. Frankly, I've become used to it, but myself and many others have grown weary with such. My biggest concern is all the out of pocket expense that gets incurred when people pay for hotels rooms they don't get to use, allotting time to participate, allowing more teams to enter than what is actually slotted, etc.

Tournaments in El Paso and Phoenix go off just fine. There has to be a reason for that. I don't about other places, but I do know the common demoninator.

Just so you know, I'm reliquishing my soapbox and time to lock her up, lock her up, lock her up Chief!

Nope, not generally. But with respect to that post, it met the criteria for "troll control". Anonymous: check ... Disparaging comment: check ... Designed to be somewhat inflammatory without full factual basis: check ... So yes, an appropriate message "kill" ... Carry on!

Two concerning questions. What sets my post apart from all the others on this thread and others "directed toward any individual"? And why do you always seem to use OBR (Official Baseball Rules) as criteria on rulings? They do have copyright laws.

Seriously, we have already established the common denominator. I don't suppose you encounter the same experiences at your tournaments do you?

Let's make it real simple and start this thread mercifully on its way toward "Page Two Oblivion" ... Your post was killed because, in my opinion (the only one that counts) as Message Board moderator, it was disparaging toward an individual in violation of one of the (only) four posting rules we have ...
