SSUSA is NOT administering this event ... Any updates will have to come from the folks at ISA or from people who are there as participants or spectators ... Good luck!

KYBandit60, if that is the 50s Silver division, then what I saw was:

1) 50 Degrees
2) Resolve
3) Team Illinois

Where were you this weekend?

Nancy,
We are Legacy and we played this weekend in the 50 Silver Division. We played both 50 Degrees (won)and Team Illinois (won- extra innings)in the seeding round, CCP(won), Team Illinois(lost-extra innings) and Resolve (lost) in the Bracket Round. We had a great time, and enjoyed the opportunity to meet and compete with other teams that share our love of the game and our love of Christ.

KYBandit60, thanks, I just wondered. At least you were not an armchair player sitting at home and just wondering. I was down at Dunn all weekend. Your last sentence is awesome. It sounds like you had a really good time.

I thought BadBoys had it in the bag,but they hit their Hrs way to early and solos at that, main reason they lost to Gem City,Over all Dudley had the Defense and hitters to win , one of the solid performances by the infield and the pitcher seems to have it going, not sure I seen him walk anyone,Congratulations To all the winners in their respective classes.

Just a question. Is ISA not required to use the approved Trump SSUSA ball for tourney play?

RJB, can I guess the 50 team instead of the 55? I was at Dunn, and no one under 55 was scheduled there. Like I always say it is fun to play with kids your own age. I was only 40 when my husband started playing senior softball, and it is the best softball ever. I am glad that I didn't guess then because it was not that team but one from Illinois.

Great tourney to play in...as it was my first time playing there, even though I have played at other tourneys at other locations in the past with different teams. Good competition at the isa world series. This is my 4th year playing Major level..next year would be time that I could be playing 2 teams (50's and 55's)..who knows...LOL.. By the way, big hello to my friend, RJB.

This is a very good tournament, my opinion, very well run by ISA.

The only thing I would like to see different.

They use two facilities that are like "Night and Day" in Disparity

Lincoln Park is a 6 field facility, very well maintained, nice complex, good setting for as big tournament.

Dunn Sports Complex. (opposite opinion of Lincoln Park) Just my opinion, probably others. Not the type of facility that warrants world, or regional tourney games.

We were fortunate to only play our seeding games at Dunn and Double Elim at Lincoln.

I believe some other teams had to do the reverse and play Double Elim at Dunn???

17Black ... As you probably know, I have drafted the ISA Senior World Series schedules as a courtesy to our friend Jerry Jackson for at least the last six years ... Three years ago (2017), the tournament grew to the point (50 teams) that the Dunn Stadium Complex was required ... Last year, there were exactly TWO open game slots (Fields #5-6 on Friday night at Lincoln Park at 7:00 PM) in the entire tournament ... I would anticipate similar volume/games demand in 2020 ... NO Divisions have played at Dunn Stadium more than one day of the event in any year ... You should expect the same scheduling philosophy this year ...

Dave, no problem understood & thank you.

Dunn "could be" a decent facility with some TLC.

The Fence Distance is OK. Maybe in a year that it's wetter, the outfield would be OK and I know irrigation is expensive to install. Was looking for tumbleweeds in Indiana there last year. The infields could be addressed and repaired pretty quick and inexpensively "I think?"

In reference to the ISA world series in July 2020 the fields this year will be Lincoln Park in Columbus, IN and the newly added Blue River Memorial Park in Shelbyville, IN!
Good riddance to the Dunn Cow pasture Complex. Not even suitable for cows!!

Dunn is done for sure. Dave won't have to worry about scheduling around it. Shelbyville should allow increased attendance. It adds two more fields and that means four more that could play later because of lighting. I would guess that divisions might be able to stay at one complex. You know Dave will consider all of those things when scheduling. Both complexes are not far off of I65. Some people like the casino near Shelbyville. I think it is a win win in many ways.

If you stay around the Edinburgh mall where all the good resturants and shopping is, its only about 14 miles Interstate driving to Shelbyville and only about 9-10 miles back to Lincoln park in Columbus.

Garocket, I was told that most teams do stay in Edinburgh anyway. I would have to disagree with you about the good restaurants being there. There are a lot of chain restaurants and a couple of local places. Columbus has a lot of restaurants that I would recommend if interested.

17Black, last year a tornado hit the fields at Dunn. It took out a lot of the shade trees and snapped a light pole in half. This was several months before the tournament. I was not sure if you noticed the difference.

Nancy 2019 was the only year we ever played at Dunn. That was on Friday only, we played at Lincoln Park Saturday and Sunday.

I think 50 major had to play at Dunn Saturday? Yikes.

So I don't know what it used to be like?

17Black, that is part of the irony. Those fields have always been rough, but to be hit by a tornado and to hardly be noticed, indicates just how rough they are. Shelbyville is a very nice complex, and I think that anyone who plays there will be happy.
