Any chance we will see the brackets soon?
Thanks
NY² ... Yep ... Excellent chance! ... The previously announced batting order is still intact ... Rocky Mountain is up to bat right now (in progress) ... Yuba City (CA) is on-deck ... Northern's, Southern's and Rochester 10,000 Lakes (MN) have already batted and reached base here successfully in the last few days ... Standard reminder: There's usually a difference between when someone WANTS something as opposed to when they may actually NEED it ... Your need will be met! ...
Thanks Dave, Hope to see you, Fran and Terry in Denver.
Hi - does anyone know how the HR derby works on Friday - do we need to supply our own pitcher if we are in the contest? Do we supply our own balls? Any insight is appreciated.
NYTX, I looked on the tournament page. There are a couple of links on the left. My guess would be that since it says that the skills competition is sponsored by Scrap Iron Softball that maybe the contact in that link might be able to answer your questions.
Yes, I saw that sheet but there is no contact info on it. Thanks for the help, though.
I'll find out one way or the other.
Homerun derby
Launch 360 softballs (made for HR Derbys - VERY hot!) 10 pitches, can waive off 2, highest # of HRs wins
Precision hitting
Hit into 5 outfield lanes from tee. 1 point per successful hit plus 2 points for “batters choice” of lanes on 6th ball - highest points win
Precision Pitching
Pitch from mound into 5 gal bucket (angled slightly upward). 10? Pitches, highest number wins
NYTX, there was a link below the flyer for Scrap Iron Softball, but I think that Ball4 has answered the questions. I would guess from what he said that you might use your own pitcher. Some of the younger guys here have hit those Launch softballs and said that they are extremely hot to hit. Have fun, and good luck on winning that.
