Thoughts and Prayers to Y'all Next
On the loss of one of their players Wayne Gilmore who collapsed in the dugout during game two of the Last chance tournament in Virginia this past weekend and unfortunately didn't make it. We're all thinking of you guys. Stay strong

Recognizing that Senior Softball is,indeed played in the Autumn of our Lives. We are Blessed, in that we are able to play the game we love at this Season of our Journey. Such is why we are wise to count this Blessing to participate in playing our Game and sharing our lives with like minded men and women. We will in the course of playing our sport lose our fellow Teammates, no matter the Team they are playing with. The emotions of loss are real. There by poor fortune go I. But better yet, There By Good Fortune go each of us, as we are remembered by the men and women who have made our lives richer by competing with or against us. For the love of the Game we we are ultimately Honored by the memories we share and the lives we have touched playing this Game We Love.
In the Honor of Sharing this Game with Wayne, (whom I have never met), I am touched by your passing and those fellow Teammates in the past and the inevitable passing of my Fellow Teammates of the future.
God Bless Wayne and his Family. May your memory's of Wayne bring you strength.

TOMAR, I think you get a 4 base award for touching all of the bases.
RIP Wayne!

I am sad for the loss of one of our softball framily, but at least he died doing something that he loved. In some ways we should be fortunate to go that way ourselves. I always tell people to play like every game is your last because it might be. As TOMAR77 so nicely wrote, we are all at the end of our days. My thoughts and prayers are with Wayne's family, friends, and teammates.

I was the coach of Roadhouse Blues last year and we played against you guys one tournament. Can't say I recall Wayne but all of you guys were very nice guys. Sorry to hear about your loss, the pleasures of this game are enhanced when you get to play with good people. Sincere condolences to the family and teammates of Wayne.

Wayne, TMax and the Y'all Next team have been playing in my tournaments for years- long before they started joining the 40+ circuit. Consisting of mostly military guys, they have been nothing short of classy and respectful with touch of that "you ain't right" sense of humor.

I've been thinking of the team, thinking of Lara and the children he left behind since this happened. It is a difficult time for everyone who knew him. 48 years simply wasn't enough time for a guy like Wayne.

"Smoke" won't be forgotten anytime soon. RIP- "2"
