| Sept. 5, 2018 tvp 14 posts | Hi Dave , I see that the 75 Major Plus teams will be playing at BLD which is fine However We only have Four Teams in our Division and I was hoping that we could complete our Tournament in Three Days. Could you please let us know ASAP as we would like to make Flight and Lodging Arrangements. It could save us some Money if we make plans now. Thanks, Tom |

Our scheduling philosophy over the years has been trying to limit 75+ and more senior divisions to two games per day ... This is a health and welfare issue, not knowing in advance what the temps may be in Las Vegas ... Going to a 3-day format would require all teams to play three on Tuesday and one team (the elimination bracket team) to potentially play three again on Wednesday ... There is also not much room to "spread them out" because we are subject to Local League restrictions requiring early end-of-day scheduling at most venues ... Thanks for your patience ... |

We have to assume it will be hot and league pressure prevents scheduling older teams (75's, 80's and 85's) with sufficient breaks to allow playing three games in a day. It will have to remain a 4-day schedule....for player safety. Thank you. |

As the SSUSA Staff said on September 5th, "...Final Field Assignments will be released simultaneous with the publication of the DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets within the next couple/few days ..." There is no way to precisely predict when that may be, but rest assured we have NO incentive to delay their release ...
