BP at BLD in Las Vegas
Are the soccer fields at BLD available for BP during the Worlds?
If not, are there fields available nearby for BP?

Hey
I am not sure about open fields, but they have nice batting cages as you walk into the park
$1 gets you 20 swings and you don't have to chase the balls

Do the batting cages use real balls? The ones here use a ball that is not good on your bat. Good luck in Vegas, TC.

Enviro-Vac ... The soccer fields at Freedom Park (BLD site) are NOT supposed to be used for BP ... The same is true of the two smaller youth diamonds adjacent to BLD ... BOTH of those facilities are under the management control of the City of Las Vegas who has, historically, asked us to attempt to prevent our players using them ... [That request has had limited success] ... Maybe some others can chip in here with suggestions ... As always, if you are the first game of the day on your field you may take BP there ... Thanks!

In the good old days when we used to take a team out there, we would go to some churches with a field since we typically did not hit on Sundays. If they had wanted to, we would have found a school or synagogue with an open field. Of course Coachie and I were out there early for the managers' meeting and would look for places before the team got there. I would not mess with the city either. Nobody seems to like softball players on their soccer fields. I am sure that the city would only take it out on SSUSA and/or LVSSA if they catch anyone.

About 10 minutes away, there is a large open area adjacent to the Cheyenne fields.

For SESSION #2 ONLY, we are not scheduled to use Hollywood Park ... The commute is about 15 minutes (6.1± mi.) from BLD ... There are three appropriately sized fields at Hollywood which could accommodate BP ... If you go there, please DO NOT use Field #3 (undersized and faces a school) ...

We have taken BP at the Silver Bowl Park, 6800 E Russell Rd. It is just east of Boulder Hwy. Plenty of room!

There is Hartke Park also which isn't too far away from BLD (5 min.away).
It is on Mcdaniel and Tonopah. There is a dirt baseball infield.
