co-ed
wondering if co-ed will be a National Division. If so, what will be specific rules? Mixed numbers, ages, levels? Maybe Nancy will answer? I have some thoughts but would like official answers if possible. Thanks! O & Happiest Holidays to all

Hi, curty. Dave did post in the rules committee information above that SSUSA adopted ISA coed rules with the some revisions where appropriate. I did read a little about the games in Las Vegas and noted some differences relating mostly to ages. Dave could give a lot better answer. I have not had a lot experience with the coed.

Intersting sideline to this question, If you note in rules 4.2 C women, if otherwise qualified, may play on mens teams. Not actually co-ed. I've never seen it, but having watched some of the women's games, I could see some fun benefits of this rule.

Marty, that is kind of a cute angle on your part. In my experience softball has ruined more relationships than it has kept together. I was lucky with Coachie that we played together and coached together. It was very good for us. Good luck. The winters get pretty cold and lonely in Wisconsin for sure.

Well Nancy, speaking strickly for my wife and I, She sometimes travels with me, sometimes not for Softball, she seldom goes to the games but is fully supportive of me. In return, all trips involve many deviations to quilt stores. As you have probably noted, I'm trying to form a 75's team here in Wisconsin and just added that I would welcome any ladies that would like to play with us. If a significant other is included, well, guess I would need to have them sign a non-nuclear agreement. And, it's actually very warm here, mid/upper 30's. Walking dogs every day is a muddy mess.

Marty, thank you for sharing that. Coachie could not get me out of the ballpark. He left me a legacy of softball for which I am grateful. He would have been 70 this year and too young to play with you. It is in the 40s today in Indiana. Warm winters are welcome up here where you and I are. I am not sure if I will ever be a snowbird. Merry Christmas, and keep your lovely wife happy.

I have some ideas to try to keep it competitive, maybe E-M to HQ? One thing for sure, having played/ coached international, womens play @ senior level should not include same age group of men. Will put my thoughts on paper and pass along!
