Jan. 21, 2019 Country13 18 posts | Had this done four years ago. Doc asked me to give it four months to mend. I started playing then. Best thing I ever done. Exercising started with therapy was doing one legged lunges at three weeks. Never had a problem. At four months was not yet at 100% took me a year to get there. Do pretty much what I wanted after that. |

I had both hips done in 2009. After taking year off I have been playing since with no issues. If I were you I would take the time off. You will feel pretty good and will consider playing in a few months but to me it was worth taking the time off to get completely healed up. I know the technology has changed since I had mine less intrusive procedure, quicker healing time etc. But you are still replacing a joint better safe than sorry in my opinion! |
