Discussion: Players ratings

Is a player who is rated as a 65 major player counted as a chip on a 60 AAA team?
Nope. Identical player experience history rating index.
Dave, I don't understand the answer completely, "Identical player experience history rating index" Are you saying that a 65 Major player is the same as a 60 AAA? I'm sorry about asking the question again.
Mikel - Click on tournaments at top of page. Then click on rules. Scroll down towards the bottom of that page and click on “Team Rating Index”. That chart should answer your questions.
Dave - What would a 55 Major+ player be considered on a 50 AAA team with the 55 player being a rating of 8 and the 50 team being a 7 would he be one of the three higher level players?

Thanks
Mikel ... chico senior referred you to the right place ... A 65-Major Rating Index (R/I) is five (5) ... That's the same as a 55-AA, 60-AAA and a 70-Major+ ... Same rating index means they are not any different than a 65-Major for roster eligibility purposes ...

BH44 ... A 55-Major+ (R/I=8) is one above the 50-AAA (R/I=7) and would only be allowed on the 50-AAA roster if otherwise eligible as to residency AND the target team as an available out-of-rating exemption spot ...

Dave, If I understand correctly a 65 Major player could drop down to a 60AA roster if the 60AA team has roster room for a AAA player. Is that correct?
Yes, IF he is otherwise eligible as to residency and the entirety of his two-year player/team experience rating history AND the 60-AA team has an eligible out-of-rating player spot ...
So, I'm just wondering how you find out what your rating is. Is it the last team you played for?
Seattle Stray Dog ... The SSUSA does NOT rate individual players, but we DO keep track of the team rating history of the teams you play with at the time(s) you do so ... The HIGHEST team rating index level for your participation during the current and two previous seasons becomes the reference rating index for any individual player ... Players who are "new" to SSUSA (never played with us before) are assigned a player rating index of "AAA" for ages 50+ and more senior, and "Major" if they are "new" to the Men's 40-Masters division ... Please call the Sacramento Home Office at (916) 326.5303 during normal business hours on the Left Coast if you have specific questions about your own situation ... Thanks! ...
