All "play/no-play" decisions are made at the fields of play at game time ... Be present and ready to play 30 minutes before the scheduled game time (per Rulebook §5.1B. on page 20)

Tuesday and Wednesday games were played with just a little rain but final brackets games Thursday were rained up due to overnight heavy rain. lucky two out of three days, had fun and didn't have to deal with the heat a great plus.

It poured down here last night and earlier this morning and more rain is predicted for the weekend. They got your money.

The first weekend in May in this area has traditionally been very wet. It is Kentucky Derby weekend for one. Two other events in the area moved their normal weekend dates to a later time in the year. The Byron Nelson Golf Classic and the National Polka Festival in Ennis because the weather hampered attendance.

When I saw the dates for this, in the back of my mind, it was deja vu all over again. I would bet dollars to donuts those fields aren't ready in the morning at game time. More rain is predicted for the weekend.

See they have a new tournament director if that helps.

Wayne ... See above! ...

• All "play/no-play" decisions are made at the fields of play at game time ... Be present and ready to play 30 minutes before the scheduled game time (per Rulebook §5.1B. on page 20)
• The Tournament Directors are the same directors who have run the TX State Championships for at least the past decade ...
• First games of the Friday schedule are scheduled to begin ON TIME at 9:00 AM CDT ...

P.S. Buy some donuts for the umpires (you lost your bet) .. They will appreciate it! ...

I live just a few miles from Keist and played there several times. Unless they've done something to the infeids, they're playing on some very damp and muddy fields if they start at 9:00AM.

Thursday was cloudy most of day. My Thursday night league was rained out. Hard for me to imagine them getting those fields in shape without much sunshine Thusday.

If those fields were playable that early in the morning, they must have put down a lot of "kitty litter". It rained pretty hard at my house Friday night also.
