First Brickyard Classic and now Milwaukee Classic cancelled due to weather. Mother Nature doesn't like the Midwest this year.
Tourny turned into a 1 day event for the 65/70/75/80's on Friday. Played 45 min. games. 1 pitch, bat 2 innings, defense 2 for the first 4 innings, rest of game was standard rotation. I liked the 1 pitch 2 innings offense, moved the games along. Only issue, you would be playing 5 games in 1 day.
I want to thank the tournament organizers for canceling on Friday before many of us traveled.
Also, congrats to Chicago Prime 65's for their victory on Friday!
And an additional thanks to Thomas and his crew for the "pressure cooker" work they had to do to not only get the 5 games in on Friday, but also dealt with teams leaving, and a lot of miss-communication on who was staying and who was leaving. And congrats to the Chicago Greysox for their 75-80's win. And, well, welcome to Wisconsin, you never know what the weather will be.
Thanks from the Oshkosh Ambassadors 75's

Marty; For what it is worth, SPA runs their COLUMBUS, OHIO tournament the week before MILWAUKEE and drew 52 teams this year.
SPA runs its 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70 MAJORS in DSALTON JULY 18 and drew 60. Teams last year
Columbus tournament would definitely be a similar draw for teams, while SPA MAJORS would not be as big of a hit.
Just my opinion.
Good Luck whichever way you go.
