Southern California State Championship
Dave,

I hate asking you this because we are still a month away, but I noticed that you posted the Southern California State Championship could either be in Hemet, Ca or Cathedral City, CA. With wanting to book hotels way in advance and these two parks not being near each other, can you give us an idea when you will have somewhat of an idea on what fields we will be playing on? Checking hotels now and many are already filling up.

Thank you,

Kevin Bourgeois

I asked this same question 3 weeks ago and was told we won't know til it gets closer to tournament. Being from Phoenix I don't want to stay in Hemet if we're playing in Cathedral City.

I went ahead and made reservations in Cathedral City & Hemet that allow free cancellation. It sucks for the hotels, but only choice at this time.

Just an FYI for those not familiar with Cathedral City. The average high temp for the 3rd week of June is 106-107, last year June 22 was 114. Hemet average high is a much more bearable 93.

Dave, I'm with Kevin for booking purposes it is very relevant where everyone is playing. But I'll put it this way it plays well for the teams looking sign in, coming from the 10 Freeway for AZ and LA area teams with their commute by placing the Mens' 40-60's teams in Cat City and the Ladies 40-50's Demuth fields Should SSUSA reserve all of the fields? To JackB, I'll take the heat from Cat City than Hemet anytime and any day. Besides, Cat City is a ten points greater place than Hemet will ever be to visit, w/nearby Casinos and the Palm Springs area. It's like deciding Caviar Vs. Meth, do the math.. ;)

FYI Gentlemen and Ladies. I was told by a Director that there is no guarrentee where 40’s- 60’s play until they get an accurate team count.

Jose AKA Salsa Kid. HEMET: Yes the city sucks but did You know, Maybe not? Saboba Casino and resort just opened thier brand new 6 story hotel and casino. Check out the pics. Quoting prices for rooms at $99 www.Saboba.com It's about 20 min from the fields depending the day and time. Maybe check it out and correct your math? Golf course is really challenging too. As an alternative a lot of people stay in Temecula and Murrieta. Lots of great accommodations not far from the fields. Just take winchester south off Domenigoni.(W) No need to get on the freeway.

We are wanting to make reservations for hotels, but do not know if we are playing in Hemet or Cathedral City?

Ozzy#1 ... With you being an "anonymous poster" here, it's difficult to help without knowing which of the three Arizona teams is yours ... Let me know and I'll see what I can do ... Thanks ...

Sorry Dave for inconvenience it's just my guys don't want to leave on Thursday and take off work if we're not playing til Friday afternoon. I'm not asking you to change anything I'm just looking for a heads up. Thanks.

No inconvenience at all! ... It's just easier to "solve" beforehand rather than trying to retro-fit an already published schedule ... Thanks ...
