| July 2, 2019 SSUSA Staff 3483 posts | SSUSA's NORTHWEST CHAMPIONSHIPS 2019 "DRAFT" Game Schedules & Brackets DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for SESSION #1 of the 2019 Jim Sherman Memorial Northwest Championships in Salem, OR, have been posted and are available from the links below and on the event's Tournament page ... As always, these DRAFT schedules are TENTATIVE, are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "OFFICIAL" at the Manager's meeting before play commences ... NOTE: Managers who do NOT attend the Manager meeting will be presumed to be fully informed on ALL matters (such as schedule changes, tourney formats and rules issues) discussed at the meeting. Tournament rosters are frozen as of the Managers Meeting. NO on-site player additions are allowed, as all roster changes were previously approved through the Sacramento home office ... Managers who do not attend the Manager Meeting, and do not send a representative, will be prohibited from beginning tournament play before check-in with Field Director. The Participating Teams List and Master Games & Fields Grid have also been posted ... Good luck to all! ... | July 4, 2019 SSUSA Staff 3483 posts | ADDED VENUE FOR SESSION #2 Due to the unexpected 20% growth in tourney entries this year, we have exceeded the capacity of the Wallace Marine Park in Salem to adequately handle the games demand for Session #2 ... We have added the TIMBER LINN SOFTBALL COMPLEX in Albany, OR, for FRIDAY & SATURDAY ONLY ... The facility is not available on Sunday because they are hosting the Special Olympics Oregon tournament, so all remaining teams will finish at Wallace Marine Park on Sunday ... This is an excellent 3-field dirt and grass complex with 300' fence distances, full concessions (including beer sales) and covered dugouts ... We are bringing in additional umpires from NorCal and a Director from Arizona to ensure quality staffing ... Our other options were to [1] reduce the games guarantee from five to four, [2] schedule play that would approach midnight on Friday and Saturday or [3] cut down the number of teams to a more manageable number ... This added venue option is preferable to any of those ... Good luck everyone! ... |

ALL divisions will conclude play on Sunday at Wallace Marine Park in Salem ...
