| Oct. 6, 2019 cyborg45 Men's 75 194 posts | New glove I plan on getting a new glove. Currently have a Rawlings 14" trapez. The ball seems to be popping out of the glove a lot lately.Want to continue with a 14" model. Are the more expensive gloves that much better. All recommendations are appreciated. I play mostly 1st, but sometimes play other positions. |
| Oct. 8, 2019 hector Men's 60 52 posts | I started to use the wilson a2000 sp135 (13.5")this year. Use it for any position. This year in Vegas played a lot of 1b and 3b. Great glove for me anyway. |

The more expensive gloves are made from the best leather and tend to last longer with a little TLC. Years back I bought an Easton 14" glove and it is as good as any fielders glove I've ever owned and I had a Rawlings Gold Glove Heart of the Hide which I still have. A2000 is high dollar. See a lot in MLB. Birazza in Mexico will custom make you one at a reasonable price. 15" also I believe. |

| Oct. 12, 2019 Mikelmart 150 posts | I put a lot of emphasis on how the glove is broken in. It takes a lot to break in a glove especially the way I do it. I got a new Rawlings 14" last year but am still currently using my 15" Rawlings gamer which is showing a lot of age. The way to make sure the ball won't pop out is to have a real deep pocket. Not only does the hinge need to be flexible but the top of the glove has to be very pliable too.I do that by constantly bending the top fingers of the glove down towards the heel. As you do that the glove really opens up giving maximum pocket exposure to the ball. Once broken in the glove will cradle the ball and eliminate the popping out you described. |

| Oct. 13, 2019 stick8 1991 posts | A great way to soften the leather on a new glove is spray it with WD-40. Then to get your custom pocket play catch with a weighted ball. It’ll break in real quick!! |

They also have a program where you pay $45 and send your glove into them and they will re-condition the glove and fix anything that needs repaired. Last time I sent mine last winter, they replaced the Velcro on the wrist, fixed the lacing, and put in a new liner. They have been great gloves for me |

| Oct. 21, 2019 shortstopchic10 Women's 40 61 posts | I have 2 AZGM custom gloves. Ive had Rawlings, Easton, Nokona, Louisville Sluggers. I absolutely love these. Excellent quality leather... they take some time to break in but they're great. Ive got several teammates that have them as well along with other ladies I play against. Fred Fimbres is the guy to talk to. He's in Az. He has several pictures on Facebook or contact him at Azgloveman.com. They run 150-195ish. Depending on if you want embroidery or not. |
