April 10, 2020 SSUSA Staff 3490 posts | COVID-19 VIRUS HITS SSUSA MEMBERSHIP HARD SSUSA is saddened to learn that three of our member players have died this week, apparently of complications from the COVID-19 virus. Ezra Alexander of the Gray Ghost 50's (IN) was mentioned previously in this forum, but tragedy also struck the Motown Stars 65's (MI) hard as James Sutton and Jimmy Walker both fell victim. Please look for more full coverage of their lives and tragic passing in the Obituary column in the next SSUSA Newsletter. We send our thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort to their families, friends and teams. |

April 11, 2020 OZ40 549 posts | Detroit is being hit hard by the virus. My condolences to their loved ones and the whole team. I can remember playing against Motown in the late 70's early 80's back at the old Softball City. They are probably the longest continuously playing team in the Detroit area. They have stood the test of time. Stay strong men. |
