Crabtown Classic Glen Burnie, MD
Tournament is just about two weeks away. County government in MD still lists the Bachman Park complex as closed to organized athletic activity. Would really like to get a handle on team logistics and planning to prevent a last minute scramble. Hoping for an update from SSUSA soon

Here are the current case numbers in the surrounding counties...

Prince George's - 9,892
Montgomery - 7,130
Baltimore - 4,051
Baltimore City - 3,404
Anne Arundel - 2,520 (Bachman Park)
Frederick - 1,282

I have heard of a few teams already dropping out, personally I think it gets cancelled...

Brenco13- I am respectfully asking that you NOT make posts like this. SSUSA is working with the 2 jurisdictions that are scheduled to host the Crabtown Classic.

We have NOT canceled the Crabtown Classic at this time. We (SSUSA) are going to make a final decision on Monday after gathering information and discussing a few options.

EVERYONE (myself included) wants to play ball, but we don't need people trying to do their own investigations in an effort to present "breaking news" Please be patient. All managers that have currently registered for the Crabtown Classic will receive an email from SSUSA today saying effectively what I just did.

Thank you-
Tim

I've now had 6 people contact me to say "I heard the Crabtown was canceled and wanted to confirm."
So thanks for adding "fire fighting" to my list of things to do today, sir.

I do apologize. I was not trying to add fuel to any fires. I just want to play ball. I did not intend to step on any toes.

May 18-
Managers that had officially entered the Crabtown Classic received an email from SSUSA earlier today. The latest information given to SSUSA suggests that ballfields in Anne Arundel and Carroll Counties will remain off limits to groups of 10+ through June 30th.

The Crabtown Classic is canceled, with no reschedule date yet identified.
.
The Old Line State Showdown (mid-June) is currently ON HOLD while I look for an alternate location. If your team was thinking about getting in, it is CRITICAL that you email me right away so that I can look for the appropriate amount of field space. Tim
