Suggestion SSUSA
I don't know if this has already been done or discussed but I think it may be worthy of at least considering. With softball alone, the myriad of organizations (SSUSA, SPA, ISA, ISSA, ASA/USA, USSSA, NSA, WSA, etc) has anyone given a thought to a conference call and drafting a letter outlining the enormous revenues generated by amateur softball alone. Hotels, planes, rental cars, food, gasoline, across the entire spectrum of amateur sports of all ages and different sports the revenues are huge to more than the surrounding areas. Send that letter to governors, state and national representatives and let them know that aside from the monetary suffering the physical and mental impact of not competing and relieving stress takes perhaps an even larger unseen toll health wise. Just my 2 cents. (I've always got a pocketful of change!)

OZ ... You are referring to the affiliated group of the major softball entities that is known collectively as the "Senior Softball Summit" ... The group was formed probably at least 10 years ago and met regularly over the years ... Their most recent meeting, held electronically because of the current health circumstances, was Thursday and they are scheduled to reconvene on Tuesday ...

Thanks for reply. I know the message board is not the venue to make suggestions to the board but I hope mine is at least bandied about under the 'New Business' item on the agenda.

I'm not one of the delegates from SSUSA to the group, didn't participate in the recent meeting and don't have any knowledge of what was discussed ... To my knowledge, neither of the two SSUSA delegates reads or participates at all in this Message Board environment ...

OZ40,

Perfect idea, but you would be sending your letter to the wrong people. The governor could care less. You need to send your letter to any Republican representatives, but everyone needs to do this, not just SSUSA, etc. The best bet, is to construct a letter that will attract the eye of those that read these letters. Of all the letters sent to the White House, President Trump reads 10 of them each day. His staff decides which one's for him to read. If anyone does this, then you definitely should read the rules on how to properly address and write your letter, and must have a return address on that letter. You can find all of this online, when you go to google and search White House address. It would be great to play some softball again.

Good luck!
