Injured player comes to bat
Had a situation today.
All players are batting so there’s no available substitutes. On defense a player is injured and is due up next inning. When injured player comes up can he be skipped w/o consequence? Or is he out? What happens next time he comes up?

Michael ... If he's unable to bat in his spot in the batting order due to injury, he is a declared out only the first time, the batting order is then compressed to eliminate his spot and he may not re-enter defensively or in the batting order during the remainder of that game ... See Rulebook §7.1(1) on page 40 ...
