Ralph Adams
My heart is broken. We just lost Ralph Adams. He died doing something that he loved, hitting softballs with his friends at Riverside. I guess that Coachie must have needed a good first baseman on his roster. They loved each other dearly.

I hope this is not the Ralph Adams that I have been softball trading buddies for the past 5 years! We never met but talked softball at least once a month. Was his street address Koehne St?

He was a great guy never met him but we were friends selling buying and trading bats. We made a deal last week. We called each other every couple of weeks to talk softball. I considered him a friend and I will miss him. Rest In Peace my friend.

These responses made me smile because we affectionately called him Bat Man. He did love to trade. Until the end he wanted a bat that I was able to talk a bat representative out of that was never made in production. He also liked the bat that Kevin made and gave me that had a tribute to Coachie on it but knew that I would never give it up. I am guessing that there was a heck of a senior softball tournament in Heaven yesterday.

Ralph was a great friend and great man. He was the kind of man that talked with you not at you. We've had many discussions over the years and he was always connected in the conversations. Some people you have to talk to and some you want to talk to. Ralph was the guy you always wanted to talk to. I am fortunate to have had him as a friend and I am sure he will be missed by far more people than me.

God speed Ralph hit them far and often.
Signed a fortunate friend.

Ralphie's family asked that I post this from them:

If people would like to donate in lieu of flowers, they can make a donation to A Few Good Men Riverside. It’s a small community organization that provides mentoring and school supplies to children in the Riverside Community. If people would like to know more about the org, they can visit their Facebook page: A Few Good Men Riverside. To make a donation in my father’s honor, they can do so via Cash App with the following name: $2020FGM

The funeral service will be live-streamed on Facebook starting at noon on Monday Oct 19. The Facebook page is: Stuart Mortuary, Inc.

WOOD27, I was friends with Ralph for over 25 years. It is too bad that you did not get to meet him. He was a great guy. At least he was doing something that he loved when he passed. His visitation was tough, but a lot of our friends were there. The funeral was on Facebook live. There were quite a few amusing stories about him during that. His sense of humor was not quite as dry as my belated husband's (even Ralph talked to me many times about how he could blow you away with a "Really?"), but he was very intelligent and could crack a good joke. I miss my friend and talking with him, but I know that he is in a better place.
