Called the office to renew. Was told to do it online as they didn't want to do it over the phone. There is no link on my homepage! There is only a mail in form.

Expires: October 31, 2020 Call the SSUSA office to renew: (916) 326-5303. What is the procedure?

It's actually a pretty simple procedural process ...
[1] Pick up telephone
[2] Dial 1-916-326-5303 during weekday mornings Pacific time
[3] Tell person who answers phone you want to renew your card

This is 2020 isn't it? Why can't we renew online? Instead of it taking 2 minutes, I now have to find time during my workday to call when there is some one in the office, not an easy task to accomplish.

Wood I had the same issue. But if you look at the on line form it’s for 2020, that’s why you can’t do it on line. I’d keep, trying the office and leaving messages if you get voice mail. I was fortunate to get a call back and I was told it would be at the end of the month before they get the 2021 form put in. I was told if you plan on a playing in Florida or Arizona later this month you can renew at the tournament and youre good to go.. Or if you get a callback you can renew over the phone.

That's some funny stuff! ... I hear the renewal calls come in all morning ... If they call with credit card in hand, it's about a 90 second deal ... It would be highly amusing if that's a "day destroyer" time commitment ... And if it is, I have a lot of empathy for you because your work day is way too intense! ... Relaxxxxxxxxxx ... It's going to be all right! ... As soon as the tech-types update the scoring database for the 2020 Season and roll it over for 2021, the online renewal form should be back ... Thanks!

it really is easy
the standard.. you can renew online is there all year for those renewing from jan through worlds

If you want to renew for 2021 you will need to call from 8-12 weekdays (covid hours)

once the computer registrations start the year 2021 then you should be able to renew on line

please keep in mind in the last 2 months covid restricted staffing has had to find new fields, rewrite rules for covid and carry out 2020 worlds. Follow that up with a session 4 just ending and winter world/nationals not allowing any time for staff to take a proper shit.

just be patient

Vinny, that form is for first time player registrations. It’s not for renewal.

This is absolutely hilarious! ... "How to Mountainize a Molehill!" ... If you want to renew your card, pick up the damn phone in one hand, your credit card in the other and give us a call ... It'll make us feel wanted! ... This isn't that challenging, even for ballplayers ...Ha! ...

I usually support SSUSA on items because when you run tournaments you can never make everyone happy. That being said. with a 4 hour window to call and with the requirement to renew before playing in a 2021event it is not a molehill. Some people can get online all day but not make any calls during this time, yes Dave some people's job's are that intense that they cannot make calls, or their work has rules against it. So how about SSUSA stops blaming the CUSTOMER, because while SSUSA does not treat us as such, we are the customer and pay the bills there, and take the time to step into the modern era and update the site to allow 2021 registration. If your tech guys cannot accomplish this maybe it is time to find new tech guys, it really is a very simple function.

Here's a really simple and respectful suggestion ... I bet you could have renewed easily in the time it took you just now to type that message ... Unless you're a really fast typist! ... And you did it in same the 4-hour time window where we can staff the phones during the COVID-19 furlough employment environment ... THAT'S why this entire thread is so hilarious ... It's really just a complaint delpartment exercise over (as Jerry Seinfeld would say) nothing ...

Dave, as discussed, and this is really simple and respectful, not everyone can make personal phone calls from work, but can access the internet. So unless you expand your hours or get the form online a lot of people will not be able to renew. But if you want to drive business away that is SSUSA's right.

You could have renewed AGAIN in the time to type that message ... Just admit it, you like to complain, regardless of what the environmental circumstances regarding COVID-Pandemic-staffing might be ... We'll concede that a tiny portion of your annual registration (if you can ever find a minute and a half to renew it) helps fund the complaint department ... You're getting your money's worth ... [grins] ... Now I'm going to return to writing (remotely from home since I'm on pre-surgical quarantine myself) the schedule for the Winter World's in Phoenix rather than perpetuating this nonsense ...

Ageain Dave, read the message. I would have renewed if I could do it online. I cannot make personal calls during my work hours, not allowed. So, how about you pay attention to the people who pay your salary, the customers, and get the site up to 2010 standards.

I have never been a part of an organization that insults and ignores their customers as much as SSUSA. But that is what a monopoly does for you, just remember nothing lasts forever.

That's great Dbax! ... Best to you and Angie ... Anthony is pretty skilled in a lot of areas ...
Wood ... Have you ever been a member of another organization that allows you to anonymously insult it publicly without banning you immediately? ... That's another thing that may not last forever, if you get my drift ... And we're not ignoring you (although it is an excellent idea) ... You simply don't like the truth of how the Pandemic has affected what was already a very small staff ... And I'd have a LOT of confidence on throwing the red "challenge flag" that you can't take a break, walk outside and make a less than one minute phone call ... Especially since you have the apparent unlimited permission to type at work on an internet message board ... I'm done here ... You're a "gotta have the last word" kinda guy, so go for it! ... Cheers!

Dave,

Since Mr. Wood brought up the fact he pays your salary, I have a solution. Mr. Wood probably contributes about 25 cents toward your salary per year. Give him back his quarter and ban him from the message board and playing tournaments.

I gave the same ultimatum to a few citizens in my patrol beat back in the day. They chose to stop complaining since they wanted/needed my services. I did the research and it was determined every citizen in my city roughly paid a nickel a year towards my personal Law Enforcement salary.

Problem solved.

Be safe Dave. Keep responding educationally.

I called the SSUSA office to renew my card! No one answered, so I left a message then went outside and raked some leaves, 45 minutes later a very professional gentleman called me back, I gave him my info ( which most of it he already had) 35 seconds max. I am good for 3 more years,
Let the system work, Dave I owe you 25 cents . Best wishes on your surgery

Dave,
Sorry to hear you have "a very small staff". I remember a guy in gym class that had that problem too. I am assuming from the perpetual smile on Fran's face that you have found ways to overcome your shortcomings.

Thanks for all you and the rest do for Senior Softball.

Cheers,
Mango
