Hey guys,
This was at a ISSA tournament last weekend in Huntsville, Al.
We were playing DT Express for the championship.
A DT Express player (Jimmy Young) lost his wife.
She died out in the parking lot in her car watching the game.
Please keep his family in your prayers.
This just goes to show you it can happen to anyone at anytime.
I just thought the softball community should be informed.
We play in different associations and many of us have played against Jimmy for a long time.
Brett Cooper (TN Connection)
PS.. The ISSA director did the right thing and pronounced us co champions with both teams getting rings.
I don't know that person or team but it certainly adds perspective on things. Condolences to Jimmy, his team and all who knew her. The softball families are close and I'm sure all are affected by that loss. Jimmy was lucky to have a wife that traveled with him and was a part of everything. I know that I enjoy tournaments more when my wife makes the trip with us.
So sorry to hear this tragic news. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy and entire family.
This is so sad. Mcdowell & Sons Softball would like to send our prayers to Jimmy & his family .
I send my heartfelt prayers to Jimmy and his family. After my husband nearly died this past year, this takes on a whole new meaning for me. I hope he can try to find some peace after this. And I hope all of us try harder to express our feelings for our loved ones in the future.
