Has anyone had the opportunity to swing any of these bats yet?

I got mine on order. It was delayed due to the name change. I am hoping to be able to swing it in Virginia at the end of the month. I will post my thoughts.

Like the previous posts I am waiting on an order of one. Proton is the new name as there was a conflict with another company and the bats had to be redone.

Why are they illegal? Their website said they are approved for play in SSUSA.

because they are not on the approved SSUSA list

That may be true, but it also is not not the "disapproved bats" list. I smell a technicality!

Looked at Proton's website and despite it not being listed as approved here it states it is SSUSA approved.

Wonder why SSUSA haven’t updated the approved list. If I was playing and saw it being used, I would question its legality

I have a Ultra ll with a ASA stamp, that doesn’t make it legal in ASA . Ad Star has a senior bat with a SSUSA stamp that’s not legal

I talked to Dave @ Proton. Seems Worth had the Name Prodigy already on a bat so they had to rename and paint. Bats on pre order are to be shipped Tuesday 30th or Wednesday 31st. All others 1st of April. That's all I know

Pre-order shipping date has come and gone but their Major team (non-senior) didn't have them this past weekend in Florida either.

Thank you. I've been patient. Not a complainer. It's just not cool that they are not responding to anything.

Just received this notice...I know that you’ve been waiting for a ship date for a while. Honestly, no one is more frustrated than we are. We are at the mercy of a global shipping bottleneck and Customs being a mess. These problems seem to be affecting everyone, but I know delays are disappointing. We’ve spent a fortune on getting our Protons air freighted over and trying to get them out to you guys as soon as possible. We have actually seen some movement on them recently and we’re hoping to have some good news for you this week with any luck

This should be an easy one except for me. Do all bats with an ASA stamp conform to a 1.20 rating?

Well, suprise suprise, Proton came out with another excuse that of course blamed some one else for further delays. If you ordered one, you may have it in time for next years tournaments!

Do we really need a new bat? Aren’t they all hot? Plenty to choose from.
