Discussion: Centennial park 50's

Good times playing ball this weekend. Solid
competition !
Wish we could all play with less injuries but it is what it is.
Unfortunately Centennial park's infield is a joke. It's dangerous and needs turf. With turf Centennial park would be a great venue.
Loved playing ball this weekend against some great 50+ Major competition. Seems like any team can win on any given day.

Would make a great beach volleyball court in some places. I agree, definitely high risk for running injuries in that soft sand infield between the bases. Most of the infield was blown to Utah anyway by the end of Sunday. That's just the way that complex is in the afternoons. It did take the fun of the game away on Sunday though, since it was so hard to have any consistency with the pitching.

As per field quality, I would play there any day over quite a few other fields I have played on over the years, where bad hops were non stop, and outfields were a mess. The ball rarely bounced in the sand at Centennial. Wasn't hard to field anything, in my opinion. Getting to the ball and stopping was an issue, at times, then setting your feet for throws. Running bases was the real unsafe issue.
Those fields cost us 4 player around 2 base area, 2 may be done for year. Will not play Rockin Reno on years our division scheduled there.
