Congrads to Ohio Silverrados & the teams we played
Terry M, Congrads on winning the 55AA Eastern Nat\'s in Elgin this past weekend. You & your guys are a class team & we had 2 very close games. Enjoyed talking to you & Randy, Bro, Geno (pitcher), Dave, Bobby, Mac & the guy who got line-drived in the shin on Sat. Good Luck the rest of the year.

Blue Chips, Oshkosh Ambassadors, Chicago Classics Gray & Indy Fog, I enjoyed playing against you guys & talked to some Old friends (Nancy Allen, Eddie) & made some New ones (Johnny P.) Great weekend to play softball. Balls were hard, fields were in good shape, except for the 275\' fences, Umpires were respectable. Any time at our age for us to be playing ball is Great.

Hope every one has a successfull rest of the season & hopefully see you guys on a diamond real soon.

Congratulations, Terry. I know that you really rallied on the last game that Indy FOG played you. I will be rooting for you on the East-West game in Phoenix.

I thought that our bracket was very even. Everything was fine except the 275' fences and the schedule juggling on Saturday to get the Major/Major Plus teams on the only two 300' fields. Those were also the only two fields with a scoreboard. Overall it was a good tournament. We are used to NSA balls; so anything else is going to feel like a sock. It was really nice to talk with everyone there. Senior softball is a wonderful sport.

I know that Travelodge won because they told me they did, and they are getting ready for their East-West game against Ruth Realty.

Travelodge also indicated that Rabbit got second in a very tough 50 AAA division. I watched their games against Brickyard and Chicago, but the beaches of Lake Michigan started calling.

Congratulations to Travelodge and Indiana Classics.

Hi Nancy and Mich.Vet, Butch drake and Travelodge 55's won the last game 50-23 in the 55 Major Plus over Schone's a very good team from
Ohio, this must be my good friend and a former Indiana Classic in the past, 40th or 50th Tournement, won by a team he (Butch) has played on, That is why he is going into the Senior Softball Hall of Fame this year , they scored at least 24 runs in the final inning as I was told by Butch himself.Congrads on winning again, Butch, your friend Rabbit

ps- Nancy I saw you and Bill in the stands, sorry I did not get to talk to you, was worried about Brickyard and CC Blue at the time, also Red Eye , I wish you would have stopped by and said hello, glad to see you are back playing again. Rabbit

I have had the opportunity to have played with Butch and against Butch...the last time being here in Cols, Ohio. He is a man that truly loves the game of softball and not many men that I know of is as dedicated and worthy of obtaining the Hall of Fame Honor...I know that he is very appreciative and anxiously awaiting, along with his faimily, the acceptance. This is what softball is all about....Again, Congratulations Butch.!! ...the other Larry A. from Cols.

Our team will be playing in our first Senior World Championship in Arizona. How many teams go to these? We are 55 AA. How big are the brackets? And when you play the East-West game how do they set that up? We will be playing at Rose Mofford Softball Complex. Is this a good complex? Thanks Terry Ohio Silverados 55.

Terry, When we went there in 05 there where 26 teams. We played all our seeding games (4) before we played the East/West game. But was supposed to be at a different place/time before they changed it. West Coast teams are very good & play nearly all year long, so be prepared.

Rose Moffard is a Nice complex BUT again they changed the fields where you first were to play. All the diamonds are the dark red soil from the mountians.

Phoenix is a BIG city, so spend some time getting used to it, traffic is really heavy during rush hours & not much less other times.

Good Luck & bring back to Ohio another US National Title.

Terry.....John gave a pretty good description. We found it difficult to find available practice fields. Those fields will be some of the best fields that you will play on, incl. Fla. ...most dugouts have A/C.......Most places they serve beer at the concessions which is quite tempting to some considering the heat factor.
