SENIOR's, what have or r we turning into?
have talked to several great SENIOR players. Many have stated that the SENIOR PLAYERS R the biggest CRY BABIES. These men just shake their heads & have the sense not to go on this message board. (They r real professional.) I ask the following question? When the OLD \'s, had the only GRAY ULTRA's; ULTRA 11's; YELLOW SYNERGY's; the OLD A\'s were beating up on everyone. In PALM SPRINGS, CA., 2 yrs. ago the A's hit a ton of home runs. (They were the only team w/ the GRAY MIKEN.) Now, everyone has a MIKEN 11, SYNERGY, etc. in their bag. Since then, why, is there a cloud or the OLD A's r now stating that the MAJOR PLUS, players r using illegal bats? Please, try & think this subject matter thru!!! We SENIOR's need to win; thereforth we will cheat 4 a ring; risk injury to others, 4 a ring; ( that means that Senior men r petty & small); & will ruin our name 4 a ring & a title. When I was born, a man's name was his word. If, a man's name or word was no good, neither was that person. Why r the top SENIOR players cheats? IS THIS STATEMENT: TRUE? or FALSE?

My, my, my. You certainly have painted the senior softball community with one big brush. I seriously doubt that the use of illegal or altered bats by the top palyers (as you have called them) is occuring on anything but a very, very small scale. With the Miken II, Miken Freak, Synergy etc. still legal, why would anyone risk using an altered bat? There are many, many guys that can hit HR's with legal bats. Why let the actions of a very few people make you so bitter? I know quite a few of the top senior players, world and national champions in all age brackets, and to a man a believe them to be honorable people. Rather than come on this board and call people cheats, why not do it to their faces and be prepared to take your medicine?

Fred: I am not bitter, just tried of all the B.S. Most players that I know r very honorable & good hearty persons. Hopefully, I have not called anyone a cheat (Uses of an illegal bat.). I do know that there r a few players that may once in awhile use an illegal bat. I feel pity 4 those that have a need to cheat. My medicine, is that I am not playing SENIOR BALL. If, a person needs to cheat, I wish them good luck. Please, who have I called a cheat 4 using an illegal bat? I have tried to state the ugly rumor that SENIOR's CHEAT. The rumors have damaged many honorable men. This is very SAD. This was my point. E-mail me..

Stoneman: Point well taken. As long as there is competition of any kind, whether it's Senior softball, the Olympics, or the stock market, there will always be cheaters. It's always extremely disappointing to find that someone has played outside the rules. There is always a consequence to it. Someone is always hurt in some form or another. I try to only get really upset about things that I can control. Love the game, love the people in the game (for the most part).
