Re- Rating a team....60+AA team
we played as a AA team in Reno... We finished 2nd there.
finished 3rd in a 5 team tourn qualifer in Arkansas.. got
smoked by the Hot Springs team twice. Lost to the Dallas
team once. Finished second in a Corpus Cristi tourn. only
three sixty teams there.. We have not won a tournment
as of yet.. Now we played in Reno, as a AA team.. Just got
a letter from Terry Hennessy stating we have been moved up to AAA for the Phoenix World Championships.. We dont have a home run hitter on our team at all. I feel we should still be in the AA division.... what is your thoughts on this decision by SSUSA..?? Larry
All my players have made flight and hotel reservations before in Received this letter dated Aug 9th.. I think it is
alttle late to change a teams rating before the Worlds...

Here is what is posted on this site for SSUSA:
These teams won first place (in divisions of 4 or more teams) in one of the 10 National Association final championships last year. (There is no appeal for teams that competed in divisions of 4 or more teams for the 2007 Season. Teams are considered the same team regardless of name if they retain 5 or more players from the winning team – even if the team “ages up”). Team Rosters will be posted on this Summit website as they become available from member Summit organizations. Teams winning the Huntsman Games do not automatically move up because the association allows open rosters.

I think i would go to the left side of this page and use an appeals form.
On the face of this, I think you have a very valid case.

Please post the results, if you know them, for that bracket you were in, thanks.

We are a first year team in the 60+AA. We have lost two of the best players on our team (spa tourn) in Georgetown.. the only spa tourn we have played year to date. we have only played in 4 tourns this year.. not enough valid tourn to put us in AAA div.. especially in the Worlds. updated..

Mike, (Hopefully) you went up against and beat two very good teams for sure, Last Call & The Solano Enforcers. If your win loss record is as you stated here, I'd really look into the appeals process.
Since I have't been in contact with you for awhile, (actually playing with or against you, though I wanted to this weekend) I think it is the best route to pursue.
SSUSA, I'm sure, will look into it throughly.
either way best to you.
LMK if you need me.

I'll bet this is JJ instead of Mike...
