Discussion: Suncoast Reloaded

Does the newer Suncoast Reloaded (2024), swing and get the same results as the older Johnny Dykes orange/blue Reloaded ? Which is a better bat : Reloaded, Megaload, Melee 4?
I'm not sure if the newer models perform like the Orange/Blue Reloaded but I cracked the Megaload in about 80 swings which really surprised me. I was really disappointed because I usually get several hundred swings out of the Suncoast bats. I have a 28oz 13in barrel Autism Awareness that has 200-250 swings that I'm breaking in now and it hits great.
The 2024 Reloaded4 is not even close to having the performance of the Reloaded2 Johnny Dykes model.
The Reloaded 4 reminds me of the original melee! But I only have the 13 inch barrel, so I cant compare to my Johnny Dykes models because they are 12 inch. I do however get great performance from both. I get more distance with my Johnny Dykes but the sweet spot seems bigger on the Melee4.
Anything similar to the Orange/Blue Suncoast Reloaded Johnny Dykes ? I have a Melee OG and 3 but not the same pop ???
This is definitely a debated issue, but I have been told by Suncoast that no matter what anyone says the Johnny Dykes signature bats are the exact same bat as the autisms and non signature. The only reason for the non signature is Johnny wasn’t with them anymore during the rerelease.
Danaj18,

Having owned the OG Dykes orange/blue the autism version and the reissue I can tell you that 100% they are not the same bats regardless of what Suncoast says.
I've been a long-time Adidas/Suncoast customer and the new bats do not have the same performance as some of the older bats. The original Black Diamond (Reedus/Minaya) and the original orange/blue Johnny Dykes were two of the best bats Suncoast made (IMO). Subsequent production runs of both those bats were not as good as the early versions.

I've tried a number of the newer Suncoast models and I'm done giving them the benefit of the doubt. I've started to buy some of the Miken/Worth models and the original Johnny Bailey is a great bat but not very durable. I've tried the Kreacher, Watermelon and the newer Johnny Bailey (best of those three). All have good performance but not as good as the Black Diamond/Johnny Dykes/Johnny Bailey bats.

The biggest issue I've found is trying to find a bat that matches up with the balls that SSUSA uses. We hit the black stitch Baden Fire and the Tatoo in other leagues/tournaments and many of the manufacturer's bats seem to be better matched for those balls. The red-stitch Baden Fire is simply not as durable, particularly in the heat, and I haven't found a bat that consistently performs over the course of the game with those balls. I use different bats depending on whether the ball is new or a few innings old.

Sometimes with all of the conversation about how good bats were I wonder were they that much better or did we just get older. Lol!
Johnny Dykes model...great bat. I loved when he cried and whined after we beat his behind.
Roberto Minaya model...great bat. One of the classiest guys around. Glad the quality of bat fits the quality of a person.
Terry Patesel model....another great bat. One of the best teammates I ever had.
DirkPitt,
Try Onyx...
DirkPitt...try the new Reloaded 3. You will be quite surprised on the performance of the new technology. Also you might want to try the new Megaload line. We are coming out with some one-piece models in the MegaLoad line next month.
