Discussion: Foul tip
I know that in the past in Senior softball that on first or second strike that a foul tip caught by the catcher was an out if the foul tip went as high or over the batters head. Has this rule changed? I have heard rumors that there has been a rule change. Thank you
If you click on umpires at the top of this page and look at Ball/ Strike it indicates that a foul tip must INDEED go over the batters head to be ruled an out.
Randall, You will find the Ball/Strike category under Rule/Summary 2024 after you click on umpires. Sorry for not being clear in my last post.
