Discussion: Bases loaded, less than 2 outs

The bases are loaded with less than two outs. A ground ball is hit to the third baseman.
1) The third baseman touches the base and then tags the runner who was on third base, who is still touching the base.
2) The third baseman tags the runner who is touching the base and then steps on the base.
What is the result of both plays?
Scenario 1)by touching the base first, the force is in effect and the runner come from second is out. The runner standing on third is safe because the force is no longer in effect for him and he doesn't have to go home.
Scenario 2) the runner is forced to go home as long as the force is in effect for him. By tagging the runner on third before stepping on third base, the runner on third is out because it is no longer his base, it's the guy coming from second base.
So tag the man on third, then step on third for a double play. The third basemen can then throw to second to force the guy coming from first or throw to first ahead of the batter for a triple play.
DPlayer,
1). IF, 3B is touched first, the force is no-longer in play for the runner that was on third heading home. So, if 3B is touched first the runner does NOT have to leave the bag and will be safe even if touched while still on the bag

2). IF, the third baseman touches the runner on third first (Even if he is still touching 3b) the runner will be OUT and the force play at 3B will still be in play.

Result: DOUBLE PLAY
1) Runner going from second to third is OUT. Runner that was on third that never left the bag is not out. Looks like bases loaded, two outs.
2) Double play, inning over
Heres one I had several years ago. Men’s league
Bases loaded no outs.
Batter hits grounder to third.
Third baseman fields the ball, steps on third and throws home
Catcher catches the throw steps on home and throws back to third
Third baseman tags the runner going from second to third.
They think they have a triple play. Are they correct?

stick8 ... They might be correct, but only if the runner who started on 3rd base had crossed the commitment line on the way home before the throw there from the third baseman to the catcher ... If that runner stayed put or did NOT cross the commitment line, the fielder stepping on 3rd base took the force play off and that runner does NOT have to advance, nor can he be retired on a force play ... Double play is my call, unless the unlikely commitment line theory is actually a factual occurrence ...

I hate to say this but for "ONCE" I agree with DD and stick8 they coulnd't get a triple play because the fielder that tagged the runner going from second to third was alsready out when the fielder stepped on 3rd base before throwing home so that runner was already out
Many years ago, I believe in Winter Worlds, we faced second and third, no outs and 5th run on third. Our third baseman laughingly told the runner on third and the base coach that they were going to walk the batter and turn a triple play. The batter hit a line drive down the third baseline and the third baseman short hopped it close to the bag. The runner put his foot back on third. The third baseman tagged him, touched the base and threw to second. Marvin, at second, did not realize we already had the triple play and threw to first base completing a quadruple play. The umpire yelled 'You're all out!'
I know who that third baseman was.
Dave you might be right if this happened in a senior league. This actually was a men’s league, there’s no commit line.
As BJ correctly confirmed, the result of the play was one out.
