Discussion: Player Rating Question

A few years back, I registered a 40+ team. At that time, there was no 40 AA, so I was told that all new teams had to register as Major to start. We tried signing up for a couple of tournaments and they all got cancelled due to lack of interest. My team played AAA in USSSA and NCS. Now that I am 50, I am looking to get on a 50+ team. My question is, what level am I eligible to play? Does the fact that I have played 4 years as AAA in other sanctions mean I can be classified as AAA here? Am I allowed to pplay AA? I just don't want to go to the effort of getting on a team and then finding out that I screw them an
FireGuy, you can email SSUSA at info@SeniorSoftball.com and they will tell you your SSUSA rating. It might take a day for a response, but they're really good about responding to inquiries.
Fireguyq,

As TOTF said your best bet is to call SSUSA directly and see what they say. I have heard that 40s teams when moving up to 50 is different than 50,55, 60, 65 etc moving up. From what I was told from a few people that moved from 40's to 50s their ranking if they were AAA became Major at the 50s level. Not sure if that is true but all other levels if you age up to the next level you carry your ranking with you. If I was told wrong and 40s to 50s is no different than the other age groups then you would be AAA in 50s and as long as the AA team you were going to didn't already have 3 AAA players you wouldn't be screwing them.

Somewhere there is a chart that shows what your ranking would be at different levels. I just found the chart it would appear that you're 40s AAA ranking would make you a Major player in 50s.
