Any field locations coming soon?
Following up on the status of field assignments for Session 4. Team counts were locked on 9/3, yet over two weeks later, field assignments still haven't been released.
Teams need to book lodging, but without knowing which complexes we are assigned to, we risk booking hotels that are 45+ minutes away from our games. Considering the investment made to play in SSUSA events, prompt updates on venue logistics should be standard.
At a minimum, please provide a definitive timeline on when field assignments will be posted so teams can plan accordingly.

Dave Dowell will not release the schedules until 6-7 days before the tournaments starts. We can ask all we want but it ain't going to happen. This is my 5th year at worlds and it's always this way guys.
55 and 60 major plus at Arroyo Grande
40 major plus at Arroyo Grande
50 major plus at Cheyenne?
Note to SSUSA Schedulers. You should always try to use Arroyo for the highest divisions since they are the best fields (also safest). The highest division has the highest skilled players who hit the ball the hardest. With reflexes and speed leaving the body before strength (especially with "injectible technology"), which is why the best should be on the best fields, to keep them safe. On the other hand, if players want to play at those fields, maybe it would encourage them to play up, not down.
Multiple teams (well over half) in the 50-Major+ division have asked/begged/insisted that they be scheduled for a three-days only event ... With B.L.D. not being available this session, and Arroyo Grande and Sunset Parks both having Local League conflicts that prevent playing weekday games that begin after 2:00 PM, Cheyenne Park is a perfect fit to meet the 3-day mode ... You have been given exactly what you asked for, just like the 10-team 50-AA division sharing the facility with you ...
This N. Las Vegas facility is vastly improved in recent years and is an excellent facility we have no hesitation to use for any division of play ... Good luck next week ...

Wow, 5th year at Worlds? Many of us have been doing this for 20 plus years. The fields always get assigned despite all the crap SSUSA has to deal with as far as teams pulling out, special requests, city bureaucracy, league preferences,'can we watch our buddies play in the Nat Championship game?' 'Can we avoid night games?' etc etc . Calm down and be thankful you can still play a great game in a great organization that actually values players concerns and safety because if SSUSA goes away we are all going to miss it like crazy. Since Jim Perry19 wants to call someone out... I'm only 55 so that's why it's my 5th at worlds. I'm glad you are 70 since you been doing this for 20 years and still you can put your pants on by yourself and play this game, great job!
When did young people get so sensitive? Didnt think I was 'calling you out', just pointing out that it has always been this way and alot of it is beyond the control of SSUSA. Also, its not nice to make fun of old people. We cant defend ourselves. I would say more but I sneezed earlier and sharted in my last pair of Depends. Got to run to Walgreens for a new box. I was caught up in the final touches for Session #4 and then back to Sacramento for previously scheduled carpal tunnel relief surgery on Monday, so I missed the chance to compliment you on your "post of the year" candidates in this thread! ... It's hilarious how ill-informed some of the rookies can be, but it seldom stops them from a very public demonstration of that fact! ... Hope all is well with you and please keep up the insightful commentary! ... I love it (even when I'm occasionally your target!) ...
