Johnny44,
This is a pretty cool idea, my team qualified to play in the National Tourney in 2025 and 2024 but were unable to attend due to timing of the tourney and the rules.. One rule I strongly urge you to take a look at is how the rosters work. We were unable to attend because most teams rosters change from year to year for one reason or another but their strict rule of only allowing the EXACT same people that competed in the tourney that earned them the right to play in the National one makes it very hard to play.
When players move on from one team they are replaced by other players and in order to play under their rules, sometimes it's hard to bring back those players onto a team for 1 tourney that they are no longer part of and we're not allowed to replace them with new players. People retire, people move, people pass away, people just can't get along with people on a team anymore and have to move on. There are dozens of reasons players aren't with teams the following year and it prevented us from getting the opportunity to play in this back to back years.
We would have loved the chance to play and I went round and round with their HQ about it and we were given a resounding no each time to having different players than the year before. We're talking 2 different players we weren't allowed to add the first year and 3 the next year. I urge you to speak to whoever is in charge to reconsider that rule for this year. I guarantee it would raise attendance to this.

Yes John, thx and I have been in touch with them here in Oklahoma quite regularly....I know your discussion is valid and I have been assured that anyone wanting to play in 2027 Nationals Senior Olympics must be registered this year.....I am on top of this as much as they will allow about rosters and who can play
Johnny
I'm from KY and have wanted to play this tournament for years. We do not have any teams in ky that's
going, and because of this rule, I cannot pick up with an out-of-state
team
