From the people I've talked to along with posts on softball boards this bat is very fragile and has occaissional U2 like pop when hit just right. Most have reported they like the handle configuration.

One online source (softballfans.com - there's a thread on that site regarding this bat) posted that due to the poor durability/performance they opted not to offer this bat for sale. It does not appear to be the "next best/hottest" bat option for us (based on that information).

I have had two of these bats. The first broke after a short period with less than 100 swings. The second has lasted for at least 300 swings and seems to be getting hotter. The 27oz bat seems stiff with not as much fexibility as a U2 but when hit right is comparable to a Senior Combat. I use the bat to practice with before a U2 allowable tournament as it has the same feel and I would not be afraid to use it in a tournament as it performs well.

A word of caution though. My limited experiences are just that, limited. Others may have different results so I would get a variety of opinions. But, it seems to be "worth" the money. (pun intended)

SOFTBALL JJ1: I talk to one of Miken's reps, the Sunday, before Reno. The LAUNCH 510, is made by Miken & "is" a U-2, but, w/ a diff' Knob, End Cap, & Paint Screem.

Several of "us" 55 ball players in Vegas, broke 3 LAUNCHES. We got less than 50 swings on 2 of these Bats & about 100 swings on the 3rd Bat.

If, one is careful (smart), & do Not hit the Launch, more than 20 times in B.P., the LAUNCH, will last longer.

Again, most of the hitters that I take B. P. w/ prefer the U-2 or SENIOR COMBAT, over the WORTH LAUNCH.

AUDIEH:: When u come to Vegas, bring more money & Ho-Jo...

Stoneman, we'll be coming in Thursday the 27th of September. Ho Jo will be with me. He'll be there till Monday and I'll be staying another week for the 55s. Look forward to seeeing ya. Absolutely correct on the Launch 510 being a U2. But, honestly it seems to be a stiffer bat. Just my observations based on only 2 bats.
