Banned in Seattle
Gary 19 is still banned from the board as per an apt,
difficult and necessary message put on the board by president Terry Henessey.
We haven't heard anything different regarding his status
yet SSUSA knows Gary is back using another name.

The longer this is allowed to continue
without reclarification the weaker the board, its administration
and all of us become.
We've come some distance in the last chunk of time
through respect and accountability in raising the level of communication
and relationship we all can enjoy with one another through SSUSA
and I for one, do not want to see that compromised or lost.

Banned is banned unless another decision has been reached.
If so, let us all know and why.

As for anonymous clowns like replant
Let's try it again.
If you have anything to say to me of a critical nature
do it in a way that both of us can/will be held accountable for the form
and substance of our communications.
I'm not afraid to tell you who I am or how to reach me
if you have a beef.
Tell us all who you are and aren't or you can email me directly at any time
to pick up on any discussion.
I'm right here.
I'll show up because its respectful to you, me and the rest of our community
and we will then have a chance to resolve any real disagreements we might have.

When you say I'm so easy to set up or so quick to take the bait
what are you saying is the essence of your post or communication.
To bait me?
Well, that's cool, too but just tell me who you are
and we can take it off line and resolve our issue.

But to criticize me or anyone without revealing yourself
is the act of a true coward in a community of real men and women.
And you have nothing I need to react to or hear
being an anonymous malingerer in form and spirit.

Wow. This defines Beating A Dead Horse. More like beating on the faded skeleton of a dead horse that's been out in the desert sun all summer. Let it go. What a welcome relief to have the TV Trivia topic to divert away from this crap.

Kind of pitiful, sad, and pathetic, isn't he? Senility must be a tough thing to live with.

TNG,
I doubt you’ll ever change, einstein, myself, or anyone else for that matter, but I do hope your kids do not become as you are “vocal” with you are negative posts or views. Our senility has set in. We can’t remember how to change.
That is not to say you are alone here, you are not.
But at least einstein and a host of others are not afraid to post ID info. Personally I think a real name, at least the state you live in, age division, and maybe as far as a valid email addy, could or should be required. But I doubt it will go that far.
Not sure of the numbers that give the info, but chances are that it’s more than not. Perhaps Bob W. (aka: the wood) can throw those out here. Since there are 500 or so that log on, at some I figure it’s things like this that will force the sign in like softball fans has. A board not even close to being as relaxed as this has been.
Here is another softball board you might consider moving to, the mohr board, or did you get the boot there? I could name a few more, but why…..
Your time here, I think, is limited.
But there in another, already in line I believe. Time will tell, err posts will tell.
Gary I do think you could offer some more good things as you have done n the past, but this Jackyl-Hyde thing was taken over by Hyde.
Any way, that’s my thought on your 1st post here. But not the last…..

Well said Taits. Knowing you and Joe and a few others as we bump into each other at different local tournies, and we have talked about this individual, each of you has expressed no rancor and hoped the best for this guy. Being recognized from the board it is/was a topic that always seemed to pop up, unfortunately never to G19's/TNG's favor.

But from travels and conversations from the east coast to the west coast one thing came through loud and clear. Everybody, to a man, agreed that the board was much better, productive, and not as negative since the banning of G19/TNG. Not as entertaining sometimes maybe, but better.

I think he (they) have proved that the initial (and still standing) ban was valid and it's only a matter of time before the board is again in good/trustworthy hands.

My hope for him is that this is only his "board persona" and people in real life things are better for the people around him.

Einstein in your last rant you called me names and in this rant you have just called yourself a coward. Don't take a knife to a gun fight. Your other rant you said your father was a bully and it it obvious the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. He should have taught you a little CLASS instead. Your violent rants and choice of words only show your low intelligence and lack of higher education. My only addition to these posts has been to advocate free speech and the rights offered by our constitution. If you thing for one minute your bullying tactics , threats and name calling give you any more rights on this board than anyone else, you are sadly mistaken!!!!! YOU are the one that should be banned from this board.

You guys don't know me as I don't post that often, I've been reading the thread over the summer and this Gary 19 and TNG sound the same. If he's been banned and is using another handle, let him, but monitor him, his comments then acted again with a ban if needed
However if he wants to be a "jerk in everyone’s eyes let him. Don't respond and give him any reason to continue his mental filba-carb. We're senior and play a game. Nobody is being paid to do this. If you can afford to buy the bats you want to use in play, do so. If you can't then ask a friend to use his if he'll do so. If not use the equipment you have enjoy the game.
TNG Gary 19,
If he's got so many concerns about the game and the rule and guideline maybe he should retire instead of suggesting others do so.
I'd like to hear some positive comments put forth by this individual instead of being problematic.
Play as long as one can within the guidelines set with the equipment that's legal.

I hate to break this to you, but making changes that will improve the status quo is POSITIVE.

The only thing that makes me a "jerk" is holding a mirror up to the guys on this board who whine that they "need" special bats to be able to play a kid's game, and who allege to be concerned about pitchers' safety while insisting on bats that are illegal for just about everyone under 50 and who don't recognize the hypocrisy in this.

I pitch, and I don't care what bats are used. But I also know when technology is allowing me to do things that I would not normally be able to do, and I don't get any special feeling of accomplishment when I use the technology that someone else created to get my jollies.

Hitt2 - very nicely and rationally stated + universally supported on this board for the most part. TNG/G19 is in fact the same person who was banned and is now posting to spite the ban. He has also been banned elsewhere for the same behavior so asking him to be different than he is would not be logical. Telling him to leave was; and will probably happen again when the system can better support such action.

We have all said the same as you have. Maybe not as succinctly but we've said it just the same. There is a line between the competitive spirit that takes place in our discussions/debates/formats and what has been taking place and when that line is crossed none of us are the better for it.

I thought based on yesterday that all the children had gone home. I guess it is back to the SBF board for some intelligent softball talk. Will check back later to see if the children have gone to bed.

TNG,
I definately agree that some of the moderators aren't the best, swiftest or ??? but what can I say, their not seniors, have other "concerns" about playing rules, bats, etc, and the main reason I do not go there much. I frequented it about 4 - 5 yrs. maybe more. I have also met a lot of them. Same for the other board.

Einstein, base upon the amount of psychopaths, scammers, perverts and other mentally unbalanced people on the internet, I find it unwise to give out names and numbers. When you find a site with some of these characters already in the nest, even worse. The only thing I could look forward to would be someone cruising my neighborhood and harassing my family. You can bully everyone else if you want , but not me. Anything you have to say to me you can say it here, My only addition to this post has been as an advocate of free speech. The laws are behind me on that cause. I don't see laws protecting bullys.

Gary, you haven't fooled anyone with who you are
and where you''re coming from.
And you seem to have a couple of followers.
Jim Jones, Hitler and Charlie Manson had followers, too.
But at least you are who you say you are.
These other clowns whether on the board or not
are not worth a good man's time.
Saying things about others while concealing their identities.
Call me old fashioned but that's irresponsible,
unmanly and nothing but the act of a coward even to you, Gary.
Whether I post or not and I'm sure getting tired
of dealing with "nonsense' as Woody calls it
and BS as I call it.
We've got very important issues at hand in Softball and the society at large and starting off with accountability and respect
don't seem like the wrong way to orient any important relationship.

Yes, there are very important issues but you just don't seem to recognize what they are.

Why not do back to campaigning for platooning? That is reeeeeal important.
