OK - here's the next question - who the heck get's to pose the next question???

I think obviously Docswear or The Wood would be a logical choice since they live down there around tinsel town and their newspapers are always full of this stuff + they must not be playing anough ball lately as they have a high % of correct answers so must have the time on their hands.

Why Docswear? He hasn't answered anything since his lunch order on Tuesday. To him, an Orange Crush is a soft drink.
Shouldn't the guy with the 'Poopdeck Pappy' response have the floor? Perhaps I should address this to Stone since it was his series of questions...

Wow... You guys are tough.. I think Wood might be right (that's a rare event) and we should either let Stoneman decide who gets the next question or one of the guys that got one of his questions correct should.. My napkins don't absorb ink. Real funny Pete..

Ok, the commissioner will make a ruling........

Stoneman is totally out of control. First off, this is TV Trivia. He asked three questions, and some were not related to television!

And there is some confusion to which post is going now. This is it. Ignore the other post that says Trivia 4.

And I am awarding the wood the next question. You are up sir.

Mark IV produced many TV shows back in the 50, 60 and 70s. At the end of each of their episodes there would be a guy with a hammer stamping in the letters of 'Mark IV on a wall'. We could only see his rather muscular forearm and fist holding the hammer.
This guy was also in an action series that lasted quite a while.
What was/is his name?

Wood... in spite of getting PeteD involved in your harassment of myself, you do occasionally ask good trivia questions. Unfortunately, I believe the company was actually Mark VII... The hands, I think, were none other than good old Jack Webb? If I am wrong, I might spring for donuts in the morning... If I am right.... I like lemon-filled the best. (<.

Better ask the lovely bride for some WAM as you are definitely wrong. (WAM = walking around money). You prefer lemon filled but your universe of 'acceptable input' encompasses much, much more. :-)

additional hint:
The action series was a one hour show each week night.

I'll be leaving my office in 20 minutes and won't be back for 3-4 hours... so if I appear slow getting back to any responses, you'll know why.

PeteD.... I like your way of thinking on this.. The guy from Mission Impossible does make sense. I could have sworn that I read somewhere that they used Jack Webb's arms and that was his production company but, thinking about the size of the arms, that does not really make sense. Maybe an urban legend? Wood had best know... Not sure where to research this.. This is a good stumper. By the way.. just kidding about the Napkin thing. I just like to pull Woody's chain... (<.

The sherrif on "Murder She Wrote" is a very talented softballer. I played many a game where he played short and I played third. He always said I taught him how to go into the hole. He was a former CHI White Sox farm hand. Does anyone out there know who he is? In 1976 thru 1980 I had a Southern Calif A ranked team with a 6'4" second basenman. He batted left and threw right. He was also a USC basketball scholarship. Anyone know who he is? I also had 2 buddies who always wore a cap with "CI" on it no matter what our team was named. They played a lot together in the valley, one was an oversized first baseman and the other a pint sized infielder and former college baseball player. The little one was a very talented player and would make some amazing plays. Both are better known for comedy. Anyone have a clue who they might be? If anyone can come up with the right answer for all three questions, without another post helping, I'll give a senior combat, any size to the winner. If you are the first to get any of the questions right, I'll award a pair of "Trump Leather Batting Gloves. They are, in my opinion, the best. If I dont have your size or color in Phoenix, I'll ship them to you.

William Bendix on the life of Riley. The Wood, right on Selleck, wrong on the other two. They are all TV stars and the White Sox guy does a whole lot of voice over. He had a short run TV show in the 70's where he lost his job because he had knee surgery from a softball game. I was in the hospital with knee surgery at the time and he called me to make sure I didnt miss it.
The other two guys are real pals and when you see them in an interview today, chances are they will mention baseball.
CI stands for Coney Island..they are New Yorkers.

Wow! You guys are pretty good. BIlly Crystal is a pretty good softball player. I have a video tape of him playing second base where he goes into the hole, comes up with the ball, spins completely are and fires a strike to the first baseman. The first baseman in this game was Al White, Hall of Famer and absolutely one of the greatest players ever. He has passed and is missed but he had a whole lot of talent. However, in this game he dropped the throw. In that same game, Billy hit a long fly ball to left field that Mike Lorden, tremendous Southern Calif player, made an over the head diving catch to rob Billy. Billy is pretty small but he hit that one about 290 feet. Rob Reiner was Billy's runnung mate on the softball field and Rob played first base and really enjoyed playing. It was a fun time when they got together. Lecak gets a pair of batting gloves along with Wood AND stattad. Ron Masak played slowpitch in the San Fernando Valley for years and was an accomplished player. His voice is heard in commercials doing voice over and he had quite a few parts on the tube, the best was the sherrif for Murder She Wrote.
If you 3 will email me your address I'll send out the batting gloves.
My last question and it will also be a softball question with a relationship o TV. There is a former Boston Celtic and Chicago Cub who was a TV star as well. I was fortunate to have been in his home because I played softball with his son. His son was a very good softball player and he played on my team for a couple of years. He was about 6'5" and hit with power. First guess the father and if you can tell me the sons name, another pair of batting gloves will go out.
