oldest player?
Who is the oldest regular player? So far I have found a Harald "Bud" Banker from Pittsburgh PA d.o.b. July 25, 1917 which makes him 90 this year. He is on a team in a 55+ league and plays every game. He is wondering if there is anyone older then him on a egular team, if so who and where are the from.

Here in Arizona in the "Sun Cities Senior Softball League" National League our oldest active player is 97 yrs old!!!!
He catches and bats and runs for himself. He won't allow a courtesy runner.

Out here in the west, it's Joe Lecak out of Las Vegas. It's an inspiration just to watch him walk slowly up to the plate, hit the ball and attempt to run to first base. Way to go Joe!

I seem to remember a short time ago there was a story from the NY area about a 94 year old pitcher facing off against another team that had an 86 year old player in league play. Maybe someone else can also provide further info on this.

I played this past weekend with a guy in arizona. I don't know how old he is but he lost a ball in the moon. I'll ask around to see how old he is.
