| Aug. 2, 2004 Cheezhed Men's 50 12 posts | Freak Plus review I used the FreakPlus this last weekend during BP. I had a Freak before and sold it to a friend. The plus is a much better bat. Several players tried it and we are all in agreement that this is a great bat. In my opinion it is very close to the U2. We were using "experienced" 44 core/375 comp. balls used in our F.H.C.S.A . and older balls that may be eligible to vote in the upcoming election. Line drives were going out of the infield with authority and many carried to fence. Even mis-hits were traveling further than expected due to the large sweet spot. Keep in mind the condition of the balls and the players that tried it are not consistant homerun hitters. The only draw back is the price. I purchased mine at Play it Again Sports and traded in used softball and other sports equipment lowering the cost of the bat to an acceptable price. |
