| Dec. 13, 2007 JTW12 8 posts | Georgia softball I have only been in senior ball for 1 year so I am still a rookie and I accept that (as a matter of fact I love the fact that I am a rookie all over again) but are there not any tournaments in the state of Ga. ? |

I do know there are some Qualifiers in Georgia for SSUSA and the SPA. You can click on "Tournaments" in the left margin and look under the same heading in the SPA website. | Dec. 14, 2007 BruceinGa Men's 70 3233 posts | Where do you live JTW? There is an SPA qualifier in Marietta and one in Augusta. Their AA/AAA nationals are in Dalton. A couple of years ago SSUSA had a qualifier in Auburn, Al. The SSUSA Southern Championships is held in Birmingham. SPA has a good qualifier in Montgomery, Al. Good luck. | Dec. 14, 2007 JTW12 8 posts | Appreciate the feed back. Bruce I am the same JTW that played with Kaysons 50 last year. I met you at my first practice last season. I have been out since August with a rotator cuff surgery, which according to the doctor I will be ready by February. I was just surprised last year that Georgia dosen't hold any more senior tournaments than they do. I guess I am just ready to play and wanted some early info. Looking foreward to seeing everbody on the field. |
| Dec. 15, 2007 BruceinGa Men's 70 3233 posts | I remember meeting you. I hope your rehab is going well. Last week I head that Rick Dunn is having the same surgery later this month. There was one more senior tournament that I thought of. 4 or 5 years ago the senior league from Gwinette County put on a tournament in the spring at Bethesda in Lawrenceville. It was a memorial to all those senior players that are no longer with us. I'm not sure that still have this tournament. Good luck in the comming year. |
